IS there a website or something where i can find out when my Husband comes home from Iraq? I don't have a key wife volunteer (one called me a few months before he left and I never heard from her again) My husband left almost 3 months
ago. There only hearing rumors over there as to when there coming home and that's a 3 month time gap! That's crazy. If there going to take our husband's away from us, at least tell us when you bringing them back! i know getting a exact date is out of the question, but at least narrowing the time frame down to a specific month would be appreciated & I feel they deserve to know this. & it's so hard to be happy about a homecoming (even though it is far off) when you don't have a freakin' clue when that will be. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help..

the rumors he's hearing for the 3 month time gap is when he could be coming home. That's not in 3 months. That's not until next year.

I am currently in the army deployed to Iraq. They do not let us know because things change very often while deployed. He will not know when he is coming home till almost three months till they are about to leave. He will also not know the day till a week before his flight back to base. There should be a phone number to call his unit that is not deployed to get more info and they can also sign you up for e-mail or phone updates.

Usually the FRG or the rear detachment has this type of information. The more the deployment is coming to and end the more you will have a time frame.
During my deployment we didn't even really know till about a month or so out. Even then dates where not set in stone till we pretty much where on the plane.
The military is frustrating in the aspect. However it is even worse when you have a date and then it keeps changing.
Military = Hurry up and wait.
Try to stay calm and stay busy and the time may seem to go faster.

My Key Volunteer this past deployment called me 3 times in 7 months. Fortunately, I'm friends with a couple of wives who are really involved in the KV program, so they would keep me up to date. If you have your KV's number, give her a call and see what's up. They usually won't have a time frame for homecoming until a month to 6 weeks ahead of time, and then a few weeks before they will have a flight window, usually a 10 day time frame of when they might come home. I knew about a week before the flight date for my husband.

There is no website that will tell you when your husband is comming home. Movement of personnel and materials is classified at best and at worst, Unclassified, For Official Use Only. If he left three months ago, and he's supposed to be back in three months, then take it as a six month deployment and leave it at that. If he comes home earlier then great. If not, well that's just the nature of the beast. You'll be luck if he isn't extended out to 15 months. It's difficult but be patient.

Girl, you know everything's on a need to know basis. Most of the time, the one deploying has no idea when he's coming home b/c it can always change at the last minute. So my advice to you is get your booty on base to his commanders office and get some info on his teams deployment. Someone will be able to help you, and that's better than sitting around and waiting for someone to knock at your door. So get up there and ask questions if you want to know.

Everyone here has the right idea....you need to get on the phone with rear d to find out what they might know. Unfortunately, that might not be very much. Also, there is absolutely no stopping you from contacting your FRG members. Remember--those people are volunteers whose husbands are gone also. Leaving them with kids and jobs and single parent households. They may not be the best at getting in touch with you, so you need to get in touch with them. Do not, and I mean DO NOT be afraid to ask!! It IS your business, just try to remember that they may not be able to inform you of very much. It is definitely classified, and only given out on a need to know basis. Best of luck to you!!

How long has he been in the military? As a military wife, its a given if you don't hear nothing from a FRG leader or a POC, then you yourself should find out who you need to call.
The dates are always changing, even if you / he were told when he should return.

My boyfriend's return date when he was deployed changed more times than I can even remember, sometimes not getting your hopes up is the best thing because then you are not disappointed when it changes. Thats what I had to get used to and until I knew 100% for sure he would be home I didn't get happy when he would tell me.

That is what the Rear D is for. Do you not have a number for rear d? It might be to early to get a definite date.

there is no website you can go to, but you should be able to call his Units office and see what information they have or who you could contact. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions
