After Basic-AIT OSUT, while you are in Airborne school, look for the Ranger school Liason that will come during training asking for volunteers.

Airborne Option should lock you into an airborne assignment, it did for me.

I went through jump school in 1985, in that time, we had reps from the Ranger Regt come through Jump School looking for volunteers.

May find other recruiters and units looking for volunteers as well...

If you are going Airborne Infantry, most likely you will end up in one of those. Unless you get stuck at Benning after school....

It sounds like you just enlisted but haven't left for basic yet.

in Basic, you will learn about the Chain of command. Use it. That 's how the military solves problems and personal issues.

Best of luck, and may your dreams come true.
