I was in the Army for three months, long story don't ask. Well anyhoo a bunch of people tell me I may qualify for veteran's benefits? Just curious, meaning no offense.

I am 23 years old with three and a half years of college under my belt, I am not exactly sure what I would like to do as a career. I have recently been looking into the Navy, I was wondering how is life being in the Navy? Is it rewarding and what exactly are the direct duties of a PA officer and how long before I could become one?

THANKS!

Any branch. Needs to be full time service. I think it would be good for a lot of kids. And everyone would be able to use the Veteran hospital (eventually).
Lemme know why and why not, please.

This is not an invitation to bash the opposition. I am honestly curious what different approaches people think would have been employed. Just for the purpose of expediency I will concede that we probably would not have invaded Iraq.

Despite the VA's attempt to portray themselves as the "saviors" of veterans, those in need of help are not being taken care of by our country. They continually underestimate the number needing help.

I call your attention to this link regarding one case as example.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/11/15/wounded.marine/index.html#cnnSTCPhoto

This type of problem is repeated daily in the media, but our government (our VA) continues throwing out big numbers indicating their expenditures to take care of us. Where is the money going? What is the amount of expenditure per veteran versus the amount being provided through budgeting, donatations, fund raisings, volunteer organizations etc.? Something stinks.

God Bless our troops.

My greatest objection to the idea that "we fight them over there so we don't have to fight them here" is that occupying Iraq breeds enemies - many of whom don't even reside in Iraq. For groups not living in Iraq, the fact that we have soldiers in Iraq will only appease them if they choose to target those soldiers rather than civilians in the U.S. If they choose to ignore the soldiers and commit acts of violence here, our soldiers in Iraq will be no deterrent.

I admit that my opinion on the matter is rather made up. I'm more hopeful to influence opinions of people who don't agree with me than to change my own opinion. However, I welcome you to challenge my view.

When answering, say what you would do if a foreign military occupied the U.S. Don't bother to answer if you're not willing to opine on this. I think it's key.

It's really sad how librals are exploiting and manipulating confused Iraq war vets, in their attack on Pres bush and the war in Iraq. On one hand I think vets in groups like 'Vets aginst the war in Iraq' are cowards and traitors- on the other hand I think they are confused.....Even still- they are stabbing other American soldiers in the back. Is there a way these vets can be brought up on charges?
All Vets who are partriotic support Pres Bush and the war for freedom in Iraq.

I do. I think it may start an Asian arms race. It would also trouble China. They don't like it when NK doesn't listen to them. And often they don't. With the South's money and the North's military bearing, everybody in the whole area would be worried about what they might do. With luck, nothing would happen. With lots of luck they might keep China at bay. With lots of BAD luck they'd form an alliance with China and we'd all have to worry. Korea bears watching. I hope they have the wisdom to "stay cool", because reunification will definately happen, folks.
