my boyfriend of a year and a half is in fort benning at basic training. his first phone call was made home, and then he wrote me about 4 times in the first month. when i finally got his address I was able to write back. his 4th and last letter he wrote to me said that he wanted to be serious about me and prayed that I would stay strong until he gets back. He's been writing home several times in the last few weeks, but he has not written me back. I wrote him 3 times since his last letter because I was waiting on him response, but the last letter I told him that I don't know why he's not writing me. he got a phone call pass and used it to call home. if he loved me, wouldn't he call me? I'm trying to be strong, but if he doesn't want to be with me, then why doesn't he tell me? he even asks about me in his letters home so i dont get i. i feel bad b/c it seems like most other guys are calling and writing their g/f's and he's calling and writing home. i really love him, but i can't force him

I'm 28YO, male, and have an undergraduate degree in business and Masters in business. I also attended law school for 2 years though I didn't finish. I want to become an infantry officer in the Army and am in touch with a recruiter. I have to go before an OCS board with documents that must include at least 3 and no more than 6 recommendations about my character. I've had good jobs and academic experiences, but none of the people that I've asked to write a recommnedation will. Its not that they don't respect me or think that I'm not leadership material, but they are adamantly against me joining the Army. I scored a 98 on the ASVAB, have strong college and grad school transcripts, not married, no children, and good health. However, I am having a difficult time overcoming this hurdle for an admissions packet with meaningful letters of recommendation from people with credentials. Any ideas on joining and making this happen?

At least that's what i heard. Now,i didn't know they grew peanuts in the desert. Must be damned good to be worth the sacrifice of so many lives and money. I heard those peanuts are red. Must be stained in something.

"I can't do this Sam"
"I know, its all wrong by rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. Its like in the great stories Mr.Frodo the ones that really mattered, full of darkness and danger they were and sometimes you wouldn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy, how could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened. But in the end its only a passing thing. this shadow. even darkness must pass. A new day will come And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you that meant something even if you were too small to understand why but I think Mr.Frodo I do understand I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back but they didn't, they kept going because they were holding on to something"
"What are we holding on to Sam?"
"That there some good in this world Mr.Frodo and its worth fighting for."

I knew of a young man who spent about 3 years in the military
and he became a ''Carrier'' of a Genital (Organ) Disease,
BEFORE entering the Military.
Does the Military, do exams for this, or have a Set Law, to
Decline, to Accept Applicants, based on this ''NON-CURABLE
DISEASE ??"
This person was always, in the ''GENERAL POPULATION''
of the Military Activities, and using the "same facilities" as
the other enlisted persons.
I promote Public Awareness, for the Prevention of the
Spreading of this type of Disease.
We have so many Agencies, of Workers, & Institutions, where
many people of Society are constantly, into the ''general
population'', and I am greatly concerned about this matter.
And I hope that Other People are too.
One Young Lady Contracted it at the Age of 14. By age 30,
some of her female organs were decayed & the Disease had
attached itself, to the intestines, and eating away, there, began. Sad thing.
She lucked out,,to have one child, ONLY. NO MORE.

I'm writing a story and i need to know, if a person was deployed into vietnam in 1959 or 1960 what would be a valid reason they would send him home only a few months later? Also what would be a reason that someone didnt see much action in the war? Can you name a specific location that soldiers may have been deployed where there wasn't much combat? if you have the answer i chose as best, would you mind sending me an e mail, if yours isn't listed so i could ask you follow up questions?
