as an illegal you are permanently DQ'd form all branches of military service.
you MUST be a LEGAL permanent Resident with a Green card.. and they WILL find out if you are falsifying documents.

If your a legal resident then I believe you can join the some branches of the military. I am not sure of the Coast Guard since they are a special case. They are part of the department of homeland security not D.O.D. You should become a legal resident before contacting a recruiter not after. I think the Army may even have a deal to help you with citizenship if you join them.
