I ask this question because the military currently endorses the policy of "Don't ask, don't tell", which directly violates the first amendment.

What do you think when you read this? Considering that there may be even more with brain injuries going untreated or unseen. And the US is not sure if they can give adequate care for the quantity in the near future.

Strength is not just resources it also requires balls and brains. Given the US could quite easily lose Iraq and Afghanistan if the UK withdraws under brown and is alone. Given the drew in Korea at a great cost, lost in Cambodia and Vietnam (again hugely costly). They also never even tried to protect Tibet yet cry they support freedom so where were they? It is clear that the US firepower and gear is enormous so how come 2-bit governments can win like Vietnam? Or cause such trouble like Iraq? So if you consider a real power like China or Russia could America show true strength of will or simply break like they have in the past. Even economically sanctioned states have done OK against the US and UN. Do they really have what it takes? Or is it just a big, bully that will fall flat on its belly? What do you think?

Note: No talk of nuclear weapons. China and Russia can throw them back. That is an all lose situation.

..rearm and lead the remaining german armies etc to attack russia and thus avoid 50 years of communism for east europe and maybe all russia, which killed far more than the nazis. maybe then europe would be healthier, ie people like the poles, baltics etc etc would be as economically developed as france, UK, etc. thoughts?

He was going through Dearborn Michigan (Home to 500,000 Arabs in the area) and he called one of the Arabs a derogatory name. At the stop light on Michigan Ave three cars stopped next to the Marine and opened his door and pulled him out. The arabs only said three words. "Apologize right now". ( Note: Marine was in full dress uniform) The Marine said "I am a mean Marine". Again the Arabs said "Apologize". The Marine said in a very weak voice "I'm sorry". The Arabs said thank you, patted him on the back and the Arabs left. The Marine stood there for a few seconds and started crying like a baby. The light then turned green and the Marine departed. Should the police and CNN be called? Should I put this on YOUTUBE. ( On my cell phone)

Also, would the digital utility uniform change from squares to little brown green and black pot leaves? Perhaps, the EGA would be blue and on the left side.

conspiracy theorists, do you really believe what you say about the suicide bombings in iraq? I mean, that those drivers are actually innocent people, who are stopped at the checkpoint, their car is being searched for explosives, the bomb gets planted by coalition soldiers, and later remote-triggered?
cause I really dont see a point of this ill-minded theory. why do you believe this inprobable theory when there is one more likely real, why don't you admitt those suicide drivers are real.. are you really that blind?
I' ve even heard rumors that several IEDs in marketplaces were planted by SAS and other SF.
What would that help? even if I would admitt the Allied forces are there just for oil /which i dont believe neither/ they would require as quiet country as possible to mine it.

to say that Marines storming out of a chopper in a hot LZ, coming from an amphibious ship, is not being "amphibious"? when Marines are pinned down and a cobra comes to their aid with close air support, is that not being "amphibious" even if it came from the sea on an amphib vessel? i proudly served on two Marine Amphibious Units and take my word for it, choppers are totally "amphibious" i been there. now do u all get my point?

I know when you first start the job of a BM you pretty much chip paint or assign it, but what do you do to qualify for the bigger, better jobs like search and rescue or driving the boats. How long may this take. I am going in next year with no rank, do I just have to make a good name for myself. What would be the best way to stand out as the best and most responsible. What should I say to the higher ranks to stand out as the one.

Update: Today I read on questions and answers this information about Iraq. "We are winning because we are killing more of the insurgents than they are killing of us". Did we forget about Vietnam?
