You would not beat Russia and looking figuratively, the axis started ww2 which lead to 67, 000, 000 deaths of which 20, 000, 000 were both military and civilian deaths in Russia whereas Russian purges and similar actions killed at most 25, 000, 000 so I think perhaps you need to clarify your facts before you make such staements as this. No military power has ever conquered Russia and none ever will the average Russian soldier is more tougher than 100 US Marines look at all the countries that have tried to conquer Russia. France, Britain, Germany, all have failed and failed miserable. Remember that the next time you want to send the panzers east

While many distrusted stalin, there was no remaining German army to disarm. In addition, attacking the USSR would have been difficult at best, given the Russian tendency towards scorched earth warfare and their position, combined with our war wearyness. In addition, another war would have hurt our struggle against the Japanese in the Pacific theater. Finally, the question remains of how we would have reorganized conquered territories. As the current Iraq war shows, going into a nation and removing the government to set up a new one is extremely difficult.
