Depends on you AF SC and what kind of off duty things you like to do, so basically it's subjective.

Selfridge (Army Garrison)

All branches of the militiary exist on this waterfront location. This is a large base that includes everyone and reaches out to the community with many events including the upcoming Air Show. This base has the distinction of being located off of the water in a state with 5 great lakes in addition to multiple metro parks, county parks, local parks and smaller lakers & rivers. No other area can say all of this!

Like what other's said, you are going to get all kinds of subjective answers but it depends on your hobbies. If you like the beach, Charleston is a great place or any of the bases on the Florida coast. If you like hiking and all of that, Peterson in CO or Fairchild in Washington. DO you have a Job is the Air Force yet or are you just asking?

Fort MacArthur, in San Pedro, CA.

It is right one the cliff's edge of the beautiful Pacific.

By the way, it was an Army Base for years, until, in the 70's the Army abandoned it and the Air Force moved right in.

I was born there too.

The RAF without doubt is the BEST Air Force....just look at the pedigree.

Probabally Brize Norton or Lyneham, for the best BASE, close call or maybe Akratiri [for the weather]. :-)

[sorry USAF, RAAF,RNZAF....cant touch us Brit's]

However.....we love ALL our allied Air Forces...and the German Lufte Waffe probabally would be a close 2nd,...had we not destroyed them in 1945, [ with the help of all of the above ].......lol

Rule Britannia!!

[Note to self] Maxwell USAF base in Melbourne, Florida sound well worth a visit for RnR purposes tho.

Maxwell AFB in Melbourne, FL. Why? because it is literally right across the street from the beach. The community is great, big enough city that it has everything you need, but no so big that it is unpleasant. Hang out on the beach and gold in sunny central Florida, can't beat it.

(Of course Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs in a close second for any mountain lovers out there).

Depends on what you're into and to a great extent when you're there and why.
