I just saw that statistic on a TV program that is a tribute to our military. It talked about the damage of TBI, Traumatic Brain Injury. As we could expect from history after other wars, there is a horrific lack of medical care and a terrible toll on the families fighting red tape to get treatment for their injured loved ones.

Recently, I attended a lecture on what to expect from those returning who have PTSD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. This war is not going to be over when it's over.

I agree with Colin Powell when he says we should suport our troops, and years ago when he referred to invading Iraq as "you break it, you buy it". Unfortunately, he also gave a speech supporting Bush and the other war mongers.

After being in a 5 month relationship my Navy man was shipped out. He is a special ops officer so I realize his situation is different. However he has been gone a year now......and I have had no word. No calls. No letters. No email. He said prior to leaving that he wouldn't be able to contact me but I was still hopeful. Some on my friends think I have been played for a fool. Others admire me for waiting for the love of my life. We are both in our 40's and were planning a life together. I do not have any mailing information for him or any way to contact his family, etc. Does ANYONE out there have any information or experience with special ops? My heart is telling me to wait but my head wants answers.

Air raid sirens sounded nationwide today as Russian aircraft attacked in force all across northern Norway. Norwegian fighter squadrons engaged superior forces but were unable to stop the attacks. The Norwegian Prime Minister has formally requested military assistance from the United States.

In Washington, an unconfirmed source told HNN that the President would address the nation soon asking Congress for resolutions supporting the defense of Norway. Highly placed sources, within the administration, confirmed that the President is prepared to "GO IT ALONE" in Norway but quickly added that Congressional support would be a welcomed addition.

In Brussels, the United Nations security council unanimously passed a resolution #2069. This resolution supports the Russian actions in Norway authorized active quarantine operations against U.S. Naval forces in the Norwegian Sea. When asked about future military operations, the spokesman said that the only impediment to peace was in Washington.

Will all the anti war people be happy if there are no more US military deaths on foreign soil? Will the US media ignore any killing or fighting in other countries if the US military stays out of it or will we hear the wailing of liberals to stop the slaughter in other 3rd world countries? I am amazed at how people who want peace also believe it can be obtained with just words and flowers and that if we just ignore the bad guys, they will leave us alone. Is it so hard to see the reality of doing nothing about the bad guys could lead to more bloodshed and the belief that America will do nothing to stop it because the death of even one US soldier is to high a price to pay?
