My husband's MOS is 88M which in civilian terms is a Truck Driver. Don't pick that one!! They are offering big bonuses for picking that MOS, but only because there is a shortage of them for obvious reasons.
I would do major research on any MOS before you decide what you want to do. That is something that my husband did not do, and was sucked into that job because of the money that was offered. I think you should pick a job that will provide you with skills you can use if and when you decide to leave the military. My husband is in Iraq right now, but when he returns home he is going to re- class (change his MOS) so he will have better job opportunities if he does not stay in the Army.

When I was in the Army from 1991-95, my MOS was 71L F5, Administrative Specialist/Postal Clerk. You can get stationed anywhere with that MOS. Good Luck.

i was fire direction control (13P) and i hated it. i know mlrs crewmembers are being used as truck drivers right now. im a scout (19D) section sergeant right now and its a blast. our main job in iraq now is kick doors in but in actual combat we are used for recon and intel. i work with tankers on a daily basis (19K) and ive never heard them complain about their job. try to get something youll be able to use when you get out. like communications nbc intel itll help you in the long run.
