I am a 24 year old college drop-out with nothing but bad habits. After leaving the school two years ago I have done nothing positive for myself or others. I consider myself to be an intelligent person with a bright future, but I can't seem to motivate myself to finish school and "grow up". I have never been one to waste time but I feel like each day I am wasting away mentally and physically. I'm thinking about joining the Marines to give myself a sense of pride and accomplishment along with the hope that it "straightens my *** out." Is this a stupid idea or am I doomed for a life of ****??

Getting America to entrench itself in Islam
was the reason for 9/11.
Osama knew he had no chance of sustaining any kind of war/conflict inside the USA. They had to steal airplanes &use them as bombs! Those hijackers had nothing.

So Bush played right into their hands & he went right over there.
&they must have been stunned, when of all countries to invade Bush chose Iraq &Saddam, the only Muslim scourge of Islamic Jihad.
Bush took out their enemy (he let them execute him).
&when Bush&Cheney blamed Saddam for collaborating on 9/11 with Osama the Jihadists must have hidden their faces since open jubilant laughter is forbidden in Islam
They must have attributed their good fortune to Allah.
.Bush turns out is stupider than them by far.
&they're pretty stupid.

When the Muslims win (and they will win militarily or democratically)) in Iraq they will threaten American interests everywhere in the Middle East.

All this & Osama was probably dead by the time Bush invaded Iraq
Pathetic

we must remember what this day is about, its not about sales or the deals we can get, its not a time for vacation, nor wasting the day, but a day off to remember our heros from past and present. take some time to hono those who fought and died for aour freedom and let us not forget what this day is all about. agree?

“Memorial Day” is meant for them…
So let us not forget…

To spend some time to honor those…

Who died with no regret!

We’ve all been touched by wars…

That’s why we have this day…
It’s to honor fallen heroes…

And thank them our own way.

And as we search to find…

Those certain ones we love…

We often feel a gentle peace…
That comes from up above.

And when our journey stops…

We bow and say a prayer…

And stare down at the cross or stone…

And read the name with care.

We spend some time in silence…

And our eyes cloud with a tear…

As we hold on to the moment…
Like we do each passing year.

And as we say, “good-bye!”…

Before we walk away…
We promise to remember them…

Beyond this special day!

We are PCSing from NY to CA. We want to move our household goods ourselves but my family doesnt all fit in the rental truck. I want to fly my son home to my mom (who lives in CA) and drive with my husband and daughter. Does anyone know if the military will pay for my son to fly to CA, AND pay for us to move ourselves? My mom is willing to come get my son but I have to pay for his ticket.

Heres to deal, my friend and his soldier buddies are donut fanatics and have just been deployed over seas. Does anyone know any businesses that ship donuts to the troops or a good way for me to do it myself? I know it sounds silly but they are very young adults away from home for the first time in their lives and are in very unenjoyable conditions. It's a small thing to do for the people that keep us safe!

Wouldn't the people be better served if the media more accurately covered our successes.
9/11 More than 3,000 Died as victims of terror.
America responded with conviction and oneness of heart.
Now more than 3,441 of our heros have died.
and killed 600,000 irakies.
Who is loosing the war?

why our media doesn't mention that and the fact that we were terrorists ourselves. what is the definition for a terrorist. how could they be the good guys and now they are terrorists. if they terror our enemies then they are good? i bet we helped killing many good people by supporting these terrorists so we were terrorist. that makes us terrorist too, doesn't it? why are we in such a denial?

A recent Rasmussen poll shows that 35% of democrats believe Bush knew about 9/11 ahead of time and was involved in the attacks. There are more and more professors and celebrities, like Rosie O'Donnell and Charlie Sheen, believing the US was involved or set up the entire attack. Do you think in 10-15 years so many people will believe this that school books will teach our children several different theories about what happened on 9/11 to not offend anyone? Is history in the process of being rewritten?

I believe that to win a war (any war, not Iraq specific) you need to do at least one of two things, preferrably both. A) destroy the enemy's ability to fight, and B) destroy the enemy's will to fight. I am not sure whether a war(not a specific battle) can be won using anything else as an objective. Do you agree or disagree? I would like to see answers from military officers and students of military history if possible.

Please remember this is NOT an Iraq specific question. No flames of the government's handling of the Iraq war please. That would be a different question. :P
