My Hero, RJ (brother), USAF, died in Iraq, July 2006. I miss him more than words can say. I honor him on this Memorial Day, and every day. If only I could hug him just one more time...just...one... more... time.
This poem was a part of his memorial service:
Oh! I have skipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings:
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the
Tumbling mirth of sun-split clouds;
And done a hundred things, you have not dreamed of:
Wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence.
Hov'ring there, I've chased the shouting wind along,
And flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace;
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod the high
Un-trespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
(JG Magee, Jr)
My son-in-law is presently serving in Iraq. Please pray for his safety and the safety of all our troops.
In loving memory of all who have paid the ultimate price.

I am a daughter and sister of a military family and I support the troops. My family are all out of the service now but I still support the troops. I will pray for your husband to get home safe. God bless the troops over in harms way.

I support the troops and I hope that they all come home safe. However, I do not support this war and none of our boys should be dying for a cause that's unjust.
My only prayer is that George W. Bush is out of office & we start pulling our troops out before my fiance gets sent over. But I don't think I'm going to get that lucky...

If only more people realized they aren`t cardboard cutouts in shades of red, white and blue. Supporting our troops I am doing, but I am also against this war.
Hopefully we can truly remember the lives of the fallen this day, not just paste a yellow ribbon on a bbq pit.
