Heres to deal, my friend and his soldier buddies are donut fanatics and have just been deployed over seas. Does anyone know any businesses that ship donuts to the troops or a good way for me to do it myself? I know it sounds silly but they are very young adults away from home for the first time in their lives and are in very unenjoyable conditions. It's a small thing to do for the people that keep us safe!

well, you won't be able toget them shipped overnight or directly from the vendor, but try this:

Buy some fresh ones and Freeze them( best to use simple cake donuts here, nothing glazed or filled) and once they are frozen, vacuum seal them and send them that way. They mightbe a little stale, but they won't be moldy.

and for those who suggested Fed Ex or DHL.. not an option. the only mail service to deployed troops is USPS.. grab the flat rate boxes and use them. Great deal.

it will take anywhere between 10-14 days, maybe longer depending on where they are, so if you want to mail them donuts, try getting already packaged ones. If you're wanting to send donuts from a donut store, I suggest vacuum sealing the bag, and packing them in a box with some cushion so they dont get messed up on the way there. The fastest way to send them is to go to the post office and get one (or more) of the Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes. It'll cost $8.10 (maybe a little more since the postage got raised) to ship it out there, no matter how heavy the contents are. Make sure it's Priority though. Good luck and tell them to enjoy the donuts

the best way to do it is either Fed Ex or DHL, they usually have a better delivery schedule than the postal service. Try it once and if they don't make it OK you know not to waste your time and effort again.

Not a good idea. Regardless of how fresh they are when packed, when they arrive they will be stale or uneatable.Overseas packages are not exactly handled with kid gloves, so they may be crushed when they arrive.
