My husband has lost two friends - one in May 2004 and one in December 2005. Michael was only 19 and Jimmy was only 21. We're lucky though - a lot of people have lost many more friends than that. One of our friends lost an entire helicopter full of his soldiers in one crash.

A nephew and two fellow Marines I once served with.

I support the war and the troops, their death only strengthens that sentiment.

The biggest dishonor I could do them would be to harm the cause for which they gave everything they had for.

He wasn't taken but he was hurt. My brother was driving a tank and it hit and IED. He was lucky, no one was killed but it took some time to recover. My prayers and thoughts are with those that have lost loved ones. I came close to it and that was horrible. I can't imagine what those who have lost someone have gone through.

My husband lost three friends during last deployment, and I've lost several friends with whom I went through basic training and advanced individual training. I know of at least four people that have died with my husband's unit this deployment as well, and I'm just praying for his and every other servicemembers safe return.

I've lost 3 very close personal friends that I've loved like brothers. two were killed in the same day within 30min apart, the 3rd was killed within eyesight from me. I miss and think of them everyday of my life, I don't think I'll ever forget my last words to each of them.

No...but I'm staying positive about my 'army special forces' guy coming home. He's been 're-deployed'...so something's up in needing that particular service.
