Who told you that?
I'm bringing mine back. If you need to, put it in the Connex with the sensitive items. You can pick it back up at homestation.
I can almost understand the knife but I don't understand the scope.

Try putting it in with the stuff your unit's conex they send back, or leave your scope and knives with the wepons they will send back. Talk to your unit's Supply Sgt. they are slick enough to come up with some ideas for you. Something I did, was mail all of my stuff home in footlockers. the mail clerks might or they might not do a though search. What are your odds of going up to Mosul, thiere is a DHL on camp Dimondback and the guy there can do it, although it is very expensive, (it cost me $80 to expess a letter back to the states) you might get lucky and not spend less then $200

Fedex or UPS in the area? Or if you have a bud down south could you get it to him and he could ship it? It does sound like BS. You deserve better. Thank you for your service!!

i was in Kuwait last year. me and my buddies hid everything inside other stuff and mailed it that way. i dont know where you are at, but when we went to the post office, the line was forever long and they didnt inspect it that closely. if that still doesnt work, try hiding it inside of stuff and putting it in your duffle bag/rucksack/whatever you want to call it.

You could ask your people in the arms room if they could help you out. They might be able to ship your stuff with theirs.
