I like your attitude but there is no war in Iraq. In order to have a war, Congress must declare it a war and they have not done so. What's going on there is a bunch of idiot insurgents are murdering innocent Iraqi people and the US Military is there to keep hundreds of innocents from being murdered by their own Muslim brothers. The reason we went there is done. Saddam was caught and in case you didn't know it, he fell and broke his neck.

Any politician that says that we are winning the war or that we are losing the war are doing so for political reasons. From my perspective, that debate is irrelevant. The relevant debate is what is the proper course of action that can lead to a peaceful Iraq. After four years, it seems that the current course has only increased violence and insecurity. Does that mean we are losing? No. It means that other strategies must be developed. Should we simply pull out? We don't know because the debate about the possible consequences of that haven't occurred. Should we negotiate with the local leaders who are leading the insurgency? Again, this debate hasn't occurred, yet it offers great potential. Insurgent leaders have repeatedly rejected Al Qaedas role in Iraq, so this offers an avenue that in my opinion should be pursued.

Iraq is not really a "war", it is a nation building exercise. In order to win a nation building exercise, you must successfully create a new nation that can support itself. George Bush even said this last week. Therefore, in order for the US to win in Iraq, the sunni and the shiite will need to unite and form a strong and stable government that can defend itself from threats both from within Iraq and from it's neighbors like Iran and Syria. Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen. Right now, there is a low level civil war between the two groups. That is why we are losing.
Your second and most obvious mistake is trying to connect the Iraq war with 9/11. Muslim extremists from a group called Al-Qaeda were responsible for 9/11. Al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein did not like each other and had nothing to do with each other.

Yes, the media should be more even handed in their coverage of the war. We won't know if we have won or lost the war in Iraq until we see whether or not their government (after we leave) becomes a theocracy (like Irans). If it does then we wasted a tremedous amount of american blood and taxpayers money.

How ridiculous is it that you know so much about the country that you can't even spell it correctly? Perhaps you should read up on it and watch the news and that will answer you questions. The media ALWAYS shows the worst of any governmental situation because they are so liberal. They like the drama and shock factor to make it look like the conservatives are so wrong.

Do you really believe that? Ok how about this one none of the hijackers were Iraqis. The majority were from Saudi Arabia and the remaining were from Afghanistan. Why did we attack Iraq, and not Saudi Arabia? Because the Bush's are friends with the Saudi Royalty so we didn't attack them, but we had to attack some muslim.

It has had mixed results. There hasn't been another successful terrorist attack on US soil since we started action in Iraq. I'd rather have our boys fighting them over there than their boys fighting us over here. I don't know about the rest of the country. I think the soldiers know they are doing the right thing.

Hmmm...except that killing the Iraqi people was never the intention, so it can hardly be held up as an example of success.

First of all, it's IRAQ. Second of all, it's LOSING. Third of all, it shouldn't be a matter of who is losing, it should be a matter of trying to stop it by other means of killing any of our men and women, even if the numbers seem small.
