Ha ha! As your recruiter. I'm sure he'll give you some suggestions.

The answer is....none. your chances of ending up in Hawaii are very, VERY low.

Maybe instead of enlisting you should visit Hawaii, get a job at a Starbuck's or hotel there...and enjoy your life.

Just about any MOS, any branch to get assigned to Hawaii. When you enlist, you can have it put on your contract where you want to be assigned. How ever, some places you cannot have it guaranteed. I do know that if you become an Army Salvage diver or Navy Salvage diver, there is a good chance that you will be assigned to Hawaii.

If you are willing to go combat arms, there is an easy solution.

Find out which regiments are assigned to the 25th Infantry Division -- pick one, for example 7th Field Artillery or 14th Infantry -- to get a good idea, check "http://www.25idl.army.mil/units_div.asp".

The it is as simple as signing up for a 'regimental affiliation', or COHORT affiliation, or whatever they are calling it these days. (As my dear loving wife reminds me, my terms are 15 years out of date)

Once you are affiliated with that regiment, you will find yourself bouncing between Schofield Barracks and someplace else for each tour.

(I suppose I should warn you to pick a regiment that is stationed in Hawaii, not Fort Lewis or Fort Benning.)

Good Luck.

Is this the reason you are joining the military? Don't...you are exactly what we don't need. Hawaii...is this a club or something. Are these the people that are suppose to defend this country.

Some other clown just asked how to get out of the draft if they were to bring it back...what happened to the patriots that founded this country???

Either an administrative MOS or the MOS that has the longest training school.

What branch? Reqs change daily, only a detailer or recruiter can give you the current and accurate answers.

Which branch of the military are you talking about?

When you say permanent, what do you mean? Non- deploying, never moving to another duty station, or what?

I am real sure you can get a tan in several interesting countries. You do not have to be in the Army to visit any of them.

I don't think the army will promise a permanent station, but if you make yourself very valuable to them they may agree to make that your next assignment if that's what it takes to get you to reenlist. If you are just signing up to join the army, I agree with the person who said you have almost no chance.

If you think you will spend your entire career at any one station you are living a pipe dream. Good luck.
