I was just wondering....is the current conflict with Iran's uranium enrichment linked to the fact that Iran is the fourth Top World Oil Producer and Exporter? and aren't Israel and Pakistan on a nuclear program as well?

Our 19 year old troops die and we are supposed to be happy with that? Let the Iraqi people deal with their own problems. No American should die over in Iraq. No matter who takes over in that part of the world they will still have to sell us oil.

why do top administration officials lie to the world and think we dont see it? they tell the iraqi's that they're committment is not open ended, then they tell the citizens of the united states that they will leave when the mission is finished. huh? am i missing something here? if your commitment is not open ended then why the double speak?this mission will never be finished because they cant realize a single goal they set out for.unless they keep changing the parameters to fit their exit excuse.correct me please.

Somehow we turned our anger over the attacks of 9/11 to going after Iraq. There was never any concrete proof that Iraq had ANYTHING to do with the terrorism. I've also heard that more terrorists come from other countries than from Iraq.

So, other than keeping the terrorists busy flooding into Iraq, how does this help stop terrorism? It seems to me that terrorist would be internally recruited here in the US, instead of coming from Iraq.

Call me ignorant, call me what you will, but these issues just don't make sense!! And have caused a loss of a lot of lives.

Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, said Thursday that conditions in Iraq may get harder before they get easier and will require "an enormous commitment" over time by the United States.
hmmmm. Gw Cheney and gen Pete expect obama or Hilary when they become president to take on this long term commitment when they oppose the war.

Hes 7 years old. He had no clue i was coming home-i thought i would suprise him. Showed up at the school around 10am. Signed in at the office and explained what was up. They take me to the classroom, as soon as i stepped in the door all the kids - INCLUDING MY OWN SON ducked under their desk screaming bloody murder. Turns out their liberal teacher has filled them all with bull about how soldiers only go to places like Iraq to kill babies.
My question is this: Libs-why are you brainwashing our children?

How would you respond to this? "willie pete (white phosphorus) is sexy as hell. We should use it more. Nobody is really outraged that the insurgents used chemical "dirty bombs" against civialians in bagdad, but they ***** if you use willie pete against insurgents."

"Right now, Iraq is expanding and improving facilities that were used for the production of biological weapons."

United Nations address, September 12, 2002

"Iraq has stockpiled biological and chemical weapons, and is rebuilding the facilities used to make more of those weapons."

"We have sources that tell us that Saddam Hussein recently authorized Iraqi field commanders to use chemical weapons -- the very weapons the dictator tells us he does not have."

Radio address, October 5, 2002

"The Iraqi regime . . . possesses and produces chemical and biological weapons. It is seeking nuclear weapons."

"We know that the regime has produced thousands of tons of chemical agents, including mustard gas, sarin nerve gas, VX nerve gas."

"We've also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas."

I don't support doing so, but I'm sure there are good reasons not to do so that I haven't considered.

And while we're discussing it, what would be the disadvantages of destroying Iraq with conventional weapons?

An idealistic but impractical solution to the conflict may include moving peaceful and amenable civilians to a place where their safety can be guaranteed until the insurgents are defeated and the infrastructure is rebuilt. I mention this to reduce the likelihood of criticism for having nothing useful to add to the conversation.

While I admire the princes commitment to his duty he must realise the added risks to his soldiers he will command. They would not only have to look out for themselves and the rest of the platoon but be aware where he is at all time and making sure he’s safe. I realise he wants to prove himself, to the world and his to his over baring family, that he can do the job. However must realise the enormous coup it would be if he was taken prisoner or god forbid killed by the “enemy” he must stop thinking of himself, but of the men, he commands.

I feel a bit sorry for the troops being led by Harry. He is a major target and is putting those guys in more danger and using up more MoD resources on planning for his deployment. He should have joined the Navy or RAF where he was at less risk.

I hope they veto his trip which is all about his needs and not that of the country.

I love you. Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for protecting me, and my family. Thank you for protecting my 9 year old son. Thank you for your honor, your guts to stand by your country. Thank you for your strength. Thank you, for keeping freedom alive. We, America love you.
I didn't have a question. I just wanted you to know.
I am a disabled, single mother, and am doing all I am able to do, for our troops, even for the English troops, when I can.
I pray for you guys, and gals every night, along with my son.
Keep the faith in your people, please. We are here for you, we just don't scream as loudly as the dumbo protesters.
We don't have to. We already know how much you love we Americans, and you have that love back 10 fold. In case anyone was wondering, I am a Republican.
God Bless you one and all, even if you just peel potatoes! I love you for your sacrifice, for America.
