A civil war that has been brewing for thousands of years. A population that can only be held in check through violent means. A religion that condones violence and rules the government.

We have the cooperation of the Iraqi people, yet the Insurgents are hard to find. The attacks we hear about on the news happen in places where they shouldn't. Insurgents are blending into the crowd; and thats why we can't stop the car bombs.
In amounts of security, we are doing the best we can. If you look at Bagdad to a high security airport, Bagdad has more rule, regulations, and red flags more threats. However, we cannot fully protect any one Iraqi city unless we invade the new given rights of the Iraqi people. How would it feel if another country freed you from opression of laws and regulations, and then that same entity took those new rights away? It would be like giving a birthday gift to a child, then taking it away the next day.
Without strip-searching every person in Iraq, there will alway be some ***-hole Insurgent who wants to kill himself and take casulties with him.

Saddam created a welfare state in which the people were given everything. They didn't govern themselves, they lack the ability to set up essential services (i.e. water, sewage, electricity, garbage collection, etc, etc), and since they have been given things so sparingly, they take anything they can get their hands on.
That's one huge obstacle. The next is the fact that Saddam created such a divide between Sunni and Shia, that there is a sense of revenge between them. If they had been treated with respect for each other and allowed to work together for the most part, I don't think we would see such a divide.
Lastly, there is no sense of nationalism for Iraq. Sure, the Sunnis have it but the Kurds want their own state and the Shia want to be directed from Iran.
Let's face it, what we're doing here isn't about helping the Iraqis who are 25 years old and older. It's about teaching the kids about tolerance and show them what right looks like so they learn that they don't have to live like this anymore.
I've said this before. We handed the government over to the Iraqis way too soon. It was like giving a monkey a Mercedes and telling him to drive home. Now, we have to overcome those mistakes and make this better.

To differnet religions fighting over who will control it after the Americans leave.
Sunnis know they will be killed if the Shiites get control that is why they are trying to blow up the majority Govt.
The Iranians always wanted Iraq, Why?
Look at a map see where it is pointed at? Israel.
3rd largest deposit on earth.
Iran will control most of the worlds oil, this is the most powerful weapon, ever wonder why Uranium has gone from $30 a pound to over $100 and still skyrocketing?
Cause the world energy prodsers know oil is headed to the moon.
I dont mean the $3 we pay now, but picture Iran controlling Iraq and the Saudi population hates the Sauds, they want reform and it will come in the form of radical Islam.
Then look at a map and see the straight of Hormuz, thru it passes 40% of the worlds oil, wonder what the british deal was really about?
they are testing our response, we gave them none!!!
They can choke the worlds oil then the game begins.
What is going on right now is childs paly to what they have in store.
Then we will look back as wish we did something while we right next door.
We had them shiiting themselves when we invaded we should have kept rolling and took care of the worlds scourge.
Radical Islam, the sponsor of world terrorism.
Is plain to see if you just look and quit listening to this party squabble bulllshiiite

The real problem is that the US has too many uneducated citizens. The government needs something to keep your minds off the real problem. There are no jobs and people are getting angry that they are 35 and have to compete with a 16 year old for a job. Have you noticed how many laws have been passed to make more criminals? The US needs to focus on what is going on in there own country.

We can ask this question first: What ordinary Iraqis have got after the US invaded their country. Nothing good. People are not happy. It was the American troops, not American businesses, entered their neighborhoods. Here in China, we see a different picture: Wal Mart stores, MacDonnal's, Ford factories everywhere. They create jobs for us Chinese people. We grow up with Mickey on TV. We play US made games on PC. We send our scholars to Yale and MIT. We send our officers to the FBI Academy. We, yeah, export our products to make US dollars. Have you ever bought any Chinese products at JC Penny? Dillard's? You tell me whether the US-Iraq relationship normal or not. You broke into another country, and you must pay a high price for that stupid mistake.
The real problem is the US violated most international laws.

The clash of the different Muslim sects. They all want the power, oil money, and control of the country. There is also deep seeded resentment between the sects that goes back thousands of years. There is also the radicals like Al Quieda (spell?) who have their own ideas and wish to terrorize others in an attempt to control them. So, it's all about religion, money and power.
I don't understand why the administration feels that us being there is going to suppress terrorism??? All it does is create more resentment towards us, which in turn creates more terrorism...it's a huge big mess and I wish our Military wasn't put into this situation.

We are trying to create a democracy with a people who have lived under dictators for thousands of years. It is very difficult to create something overnight that is completely different to the way the country has always been run.
The people are willing to die for their God and their cause. We are not.

None of the above!..Well, maybe what!..G.W.Bush and John Howard, {not Blaire} really seem to believe they can 'set up' a democracy in Iraq!..Its impossible!..You see, the problem is Islam itself!..It forbids democracy!..There is no such thing in this world as an Islamic democracy!..Egypt..Malasyia and Turkey have all tryed it. so has Indonesia!.But they all have to revert to police state status because fanatical Islam will not tolerate free will..Free speech..The rights of women..Free thought, or free anything!..Their 'one true prophet' believed in, and set up the Caliph system of one religious ruler with a 'wazir, who make all the decisions!..In other words, dictatorship!..There is not ONE country in the Middle East that does not operate under this system!.And if our foolish political leaders think they can change this!..Well, its going to be a long loooonnng war!..THERES YOUR PROBLEM!..
