Hes 7 years old. He had no clue i was coming home-i thought i would suprise him. Showed up at the school around 10am. Signed in at the office and explained what was up. They take me to the classroom, as soon as i stepped in the door all the kids - INCLUDING MY OWN SON ducked under their desk screaming bloody murder. Turns out their liberal teacher has filled them all with bull about how soldiers only go to places like Iraq to kill babies.
My question is this: Libs-why are you brainwashing our children?

really - which unit were you in.

if you would like everyone to believe your story, include what you unit you are in so that it can be verified that they just came home - there would be a record of such things.

also, if you just got home and assuming you have been away for 12-15 months and you son is 7 (which would place him in second grade) would mean you have been gone for the entire school year and could not have met his teacher - therefore i don't see how you could possibly know that he/she is a liberal.

sorry but you little story here doesn't pass the whiff test, let alone the sniff test - you aren't telling the truth, but are trying to get people to support the (what isn't liberal) line in the most base way.

i for one, don't believe a single word of your post...

Your story is not credible. I think you just made those things up. How could your own son scream to you bloody murderer (unless you have a previous history of abusing your son)?. It's impossible that your son and the other children in the class could have never mentioned this brainwashing to their parents in the past. Furthermore, the school authorities always regulary monitor what the teachers are teaching to their students. The said teacher could have been fired long ago if he/she is found to be teaching topics beyond and not covered by the prescribed school curriculum.

I know this because I've been a teacher myself. I just cannot simply teach my students anything that comes out of my mind. I have to confine my teachings to the subjects I am supposed to teach to my students. I also have to submit regular reports to my school supervisor on the topics I had taught to my students, which are supposed to be in uniformity with what the other teachers taught their own students. Have you heard of the word "Lesson Plan" used by teachers?. I have to follow that lesson plan. The other teachers are required to do the same. The school supervisor regulary checks this lesson plan and make sure that it is being followed by all teachers.

In short, I don't believe your story. You're just trying to arouse incorrect sentiments among the other posters here.

Personally (even if this is hypothetical) I would at this point have to go crazy about this. Why would all of the kids act like this? Ok your kids Mom has been telling him to be proud of you so it's not a home issue.... it is school and that would be clear.

I would question the "killing babies" thing with 7 year olds. But even if the kids sort of misinterpreted what was said someway, somehow the teacher would have done something wrong.

I would speak to everyone and anyone while threatening to sue. The teacher would have to explain and talk to the kids with people looking on. I would make sure the other parents got wind of this. Because you know the vast majority of thinking people, even liberals realize that even if they disagree with the war they support the soldiers. Then I would speak with the media as this would be shocking to most people.

So even if there was some doubt as to the teachers guilt she would be shamed, afraid to even say the word "soldier", probably move and with some media exposure never get a good job again.

Uneducated, uninformed liberals who get all their information from TV don't realize what damage they do. I could fix my sons damage so I would actually welcome the opportunity if some such thing happened to me.

Not all liberals are this bad, I promise you.

Talk to the other children's parents about this. All of you should bring this up with the principal and the school board. They should take corrective measures against this teacher immediately, resulting in no less than suspension (and that's just a light slap on the wrist).

Most importantly, see if you can't schedule a time with this (and any other) class to explain the truth to them. Bring them uplifting, happy pictures of you with other soldiers and Iraqi locals. Share happy stories. Explain to them that no, not everything is happy there, but you are NOT killing babies, that your primary job is to minimize the killing as much as possible.

It's important that they hear the truth from someone who can tell them accurately rather than someone who has a personal vendetta against the government.

If the teacher returns to work, have your son moved to a different class.

----

As a side note, I would like to let you know that at least one person appreciates your dedication and time in Iraq. I do not agree with the war, but I support our troops and hope that they can come home safely. =)

If that story is true, I feel for you. It makes you want to have an investigation done on when the hell they are teaching kids in school these days. I once had a professor that was one of the Vietnam protesters. I turned in an assignment which had one mark on it for a spelling error and then there was this paragraph about how I didn't know what i was talking about and that I should keep my opinions to myself. The paper was about how we need to keep up with the arms race. He gave me an F for the grade because he didn't agree with what I was writing about. So in other words, I got an F for one misspelled word which was really a typo. My finger hit the wrong key.

First, I want to thank you for all your sacrifices you have made and are making for our country. Incidents such as this makes you wonder if those sacrifices are in vain. The trouble is that your boy's school is not an isolated school. There are many teachers of this sort spread around the country. Hopefully, there are more of the opposite sorts. You know, the ones that teach the truth and try to get the students to think for themselves. (much like Fox news gives the news)
I do know that many of our universities and colleges are filled with the democommies teaching the liberal spin on everything. None of this is good for our country. I am very disappointed with you having this type of a thing happen to you. Hang in there, maybe the good people in this country will wake up and start procedures to rid the schools of this kind of teachers.

This is a lie.

Never happened.

If you're going to try to make liberals look bad, at least try a story that's believable.

Please don't try to explain how true it is.... any military family member can tell it's a lie... Oops, and I'm a teacher too. So, I've got you on both sides.
