I think president Bush should be impeached or resign because of the mess he made in Iraq! The mistake he made in Iraq should be faced.Over 3000American lives and billions of dollars and that country is still a mess.We never should have got involued in another countries civil war. There were no nucular weapons there. Those hundreds of billions of dollars could have been used to fix a lot of things in this country. Like vietnam we will have to leave with the tail between our legs for another mistake. We need new leaders with something that resembles a brain. Wake up America and bring are troops home, and use the money where it is needed HERE!

The major factor that can bring these two superpowers into direct conflict is Taiwan.

The Chinese regime has constantly reiterated that within the next decade Taiwan will be integrated with the mainland, even if that is to be accomplished using coercion. 80% Of the Taiwan residents prefer the status quo, wherein they are not part of China.

In 2003 George Bush made unequivocally clear to the Chinse leadership that if China were to attack Taiwan, this would engender full scale military hostilities between the USA and China, because the the USA is committed by law to defend Taiwan against a Chinese invasion....

...How Likely Is A Military Confrontation Between The USA and China???

70 percent.Number of Americans who oppose sending more troops and are against the war in Iraq, according to a new AP-Ipsos poll. “Just 35 percent think it was right for the United States to go to war, a new low in AP polling and a reversal from two years ago, when two-thirds of Americans thought it was the correct move.” The war is becoming unpopular and most Americans want the troops out now. The Iraq war is lost.

Is a conscientious objector someone who refuses to enter into military service upon being drafted/ or is it someone who is already in the army and then refuses to keep serving?

I would think that both would qualify as being conscientious objects.

Second Question:

If there was a draft, are there any penalties for being an objector? and how does one actually go about proving they are an objector?

Thanks!

My cousin, who is in the army, said that because guys are out at war for so long, that some guys will actually rape other guys. He said that if you're a thin and have a kinda girlish face, then don't join the army because you will get raped, or atleast felt up alot. He also claimed he saw it happen to a rookie.

So how true is this?

FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The spouses of the 82nd Airborne have grown accustomed to peeking through their blinds in the mornings to make sure a casualty notification team isn't waiting outside.

This week, nine of those families were discovering the worst: Two truck bombs killed nine of their paratroopers in the division's deadliest day of combat since the Vietnam War.

Neither of the explosives-laden trucks penetrated the patrol base's inner perimeter in Iraq's Diyala province, but the second blast ruptured a building wall, collapsing its second floor and causing most of the soldier casualties, a U.S. military statement said Wednesday.

It was reported today 70% of Americans are now against the war and want the troops to come home due to the fact the war can not and will not be won. This war is Vietnam number two.

Went to an official function with my husband. The COB was mingling and being social. He came up to my husband and shook his hand. My husband went to re-introduce me. (polite thing to do) And the COB held up his hand and said "I know you alredy" and walked away. I am the VP for the family readiness group and have asked for assistance recently but, we are a new group and I admit my husband is only an E-4 (I am also new to the navy... only 3 yrs).

So, how do I take this matter? Was he truly being rude or am I just viewing it the wrong way? Many of the crew truly dislike him, I maintain a working relationship with him because that is the correct thing to do. Do I readdress the matter with him? If so, how?

Isn't Fallujah a city of 200,000 men, women, children? Did the Prussians and Germans consider Paris a "battlefield" in 1871 and 1940? Did the Germans consider London a "battlefield" in 1940? Did Bin Laden consider the Twin Towers a "battlefield"?
