By preventing US potential attack to Iran. That's one solution to deal with. If US attack Iran, in which I hope will not, Russia and China might intervene and the probability that this might triggered World War III is definetely high.

Third Word War is a distant possibility. There might be some skirmishes here and there but no serious war with the potential to escalate into a war of global ramification.

By making the establishment of a dictatorship impossible. That's the whole point of democracy, that no one person is too powerful, so that if some crazy person comes along with an idea to nuke another country, there'll be another group of people who can stop this from happening. Economic interdependence is another good way, by making countries reliant on each other for their growth. Then, if one country became a totalitarian state, chances are the countries supporting that country would pull the plug. Game over.

By eliminating the politicians all over the world. The Kings and Queens ruling was much better. Read the history. In the name of democracy all over the world what we are getting is goons, corrupt people. In aristocracy atleast we know the person going to be next ruler and from which family.

Nuclear disarment treaties and maintaing diplomacy. Supplying arms and supplies to weak allies. Weapon inspections and improved trade.

SIDE NOTE- Kokoda it was only the Iraq war that was illegal, the war against Afghanistan was perfectly complient with the geneva convention as it was a defensive counter-attack against the agressers of 9/11. However Iraq was attacked as a "Pre-Emptive Strike" which violates the geneva convention unless there is "solid evidence" of a clear and preasently dormant threat.

I don't think that's possible. History has tought us that man kind will always struggle for power and domination over any one weaker. So one day, want it or not, a third world war will happen. All we can do is prepare for the worst, and hope for the best.

I though that was what the UN was for.....

The International Court of Justice is supposed to deal with any disputes between nations. This is supposed to prevent war. Why isn't it working?

...oh wait, the US made it's own rule. It will attend the ICJ, but will decide case by case if it WISHES to follow the ruling. That's why the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq wasn't support by the UN, it was ILLEGAL. If you want to stop war, stop starting them.

The option to avoid it was lost when the Embassy was held hostage for 444 days.

Winning it seems the most logical and effective choice left.

Perhaps we'll try that when the Democrats have exhausted their ability to deny it.
