I think they're naive fools that would do anything to make Bush look bad, including endangering our country.

I think the question is rather stupid because there are people in both parties that believe that we should extricate ourselves from the war. The biggest mistakes were going to war without a valid reason to go and an exit strategy for concluding our involvement. If people want to accuse people of being cowards or traitors they should know the facts first. Grouping any one political group in this day and age is just plain ignorant. I consider myself a Democrat, I have served in the armed forces and I think we need to get ourselves out of our current predicament without causing irreparable damage to our nations reputation. If we can accomplish that much I would be happy. You can consider me whatever you want but how can sticking to ones own beliefs make someone a traitor? and there are different types of cowards one who runs away from a fight or one who fights because he isn't willing to try and find a way without fighting.

neither. uneducated in war fighting would be the best response. lets put it this way you dont tell the enmy when your gonna stop fighting duh. but when depending on the source you choose up to aprox. 70% of americans dissaprove of being there they are just doing what they think voters want them to do. (aka trying to keep their jobs) can you blame somone for that, sure they have a responsibilty but if you ran for office on the get out of iraq ticket at least they are doing what they said they would. i think it would be a tragedy of epic proportions to cut and run however the dems are doing what they told there voters they would and i cant hold something against a politican who does what they say the will. even if i dissagree with what they are trying to do.

Maybe neither.

Most people now believe the war in Iraq was not a patriotic endeavor.

The American public is fickle, and they are tiring of the excuse de jour for the war.

"Iraq is harboring enemies of the US". We invaded and did not find any.

"Iraq has Weapons of mass destruction." After invading, we looked and looked but fail to find any.

"We must free the Iraqi people from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein." He gone, He's dead, We are still there.

"We must help Iraq establish a democracy." They have that, along with the ink-stained thumbs to prove it, but we are still there.

"We must train Iraqi security forces" I agree, but I don't see much indication that it is happening.

OK all you "support the troops" types. 1. We're not in the middle of a war we're in the middle of an unwarranted occupation turned civil war. 2. How are we supposed to "win" with no clear motive, no purpose, too few troops who have been under trained, under rested and overused, inadequate equipment and a nation of people who can't handle the democracy we're trying to undemocratically force on it? Chicken hawks. You want to win so bad? Use your own lives.

Actually, most Democrats are just smart enough to know that occupying a country does not make them free.

Lets just keep spending billions of dollars on a country that has no chance for democracy anytime soon. Not too mention all the soldiers that are dying weekly over there. It's easy for you to sit in your couch and watch the war from your living room. If wasting money and human lives makes sense to you, you're a true repuke......
