Military - April 2007

Do you think the government has advanced technology at Area 51? Some people say that they are about 50years ahead of us. I really don't know if they are or not but there has been a lot of reports of strange things going on at Area 51. As far as UFO sightings I think the Military (particularly the Airforce) has to answer that question. Think about it the government has a lot of money for them. They are using all that money for such UFO's that are spotted around the world. New technology. How to control gravity. Scientist that work in Area 51 get on a "Janet" Aircraft in the Las Vegas terminal without even going thru security. Go check that out and you will see: http://www.ufomind.com/area51/org/janet/

Listen you don't have to believe me and I probably sound crazy. But this is what I believe and I'm sticking with it. If you think like me let's exchange thoughts and if you don't I'd like to hear your thoughts also.

I would like to go back to the days when soldiers wouldn't be paid so much, they're taking advantage of our war on terrorism to make "careers" for themselves. The problem is, by offering soldiers money you encourage the women not to marry rich and the men to not become rich by going to college and get really good jobs.

We should instead have a system where people who don't have a certain amount of income be drafted into the military and we pay them almost nothing, that would be a lot better than our current system. I married rich myself, I think thats the best thing to do!

Even if you weren't convicted, if you admit to using drugs say two years in the past are you automatically disqualified from the military? If not, are there any negative consequences as a result of admitting to it?

Either way, I'm not going to lie.

I know what you're thinking. North and South Vietnam. North and South Korea. But so what? The Iranians will try to move in anyway if we move out. At least this will give them a road block until we come back and swat them for breaking the very same rules they accuse us of breaking. Lord! let us make our own alchohol fuel soon so we don't depend on these crazy people. The British almost interupted OUR civil war over cotton in 1862. Instead they used less quality cotton from India and got by. Good for that. If not who would have helped them out in 1940? Not us! Perhaps if England fell, we'd take Canada under our wing and be a lot larger a nation, but WW II would have lasted into 1948 or later. By then the whole mess would hae gone nuclear.

Im just curious but does anyone know how a government operative manages to stay awake for long periods of time when stuck in situations where they must stay awake. For example, lets say one of our soldiers gets caught and is being held hostage in an undisclosed area. However he must stay awake or else he will miss important signals from allies on how to escape. So what would he do to keep himself awake?

I enlisted for the Marines and passed the asvac and physical test, So im set to go to bootcamp on Sept 4.. My sole reason for signing up for the Marines is getting disciplined for Bootcamp, and being able to attend college and graduate!.. i have a few questions..

Since im an only child, it's not much such of a good idea for me to go to war. Do you get sent to war on your first year?.
I mean i can take staying at the base in Iraq but do they send you outside to Fight?..

I scored pretty low on the asvac ( 34 ) ... Is it still possible to get a better MOS?..
and what MOS are the one that they dont send you to War?..

Thanks!!.

ive been reading questions for about 10 minutes now which involve poeple asking questions reguarding a military discharge. and a good percentage of the answers are just people bashing the person for even considering getting out of the military early.

im currently enlisted, and i am completely sympathetic to the fact that this isnt for everyone. i would never insult a person for feeling the way that they feel when it comes to the military, some people were misled, some people thought it would be a good idea. but what it comes down to is, it's a different way of life, a different way of thinking, and why ridicule a person for feeling such ways.

i know people that are extremely upset and distraught over the decision they made to join the military, i recommend to these people that they go talk to someone, because its better that they do that, and try to seek discharge, then get put on restriction for doing something wrong, which only amplifies these symptoms.

any input?

I've been reading about people calling our troops babykillers and trained murderers, people saying that our troops are mean, uneducated, whatever. They say we are killing innocent civilians without a second thought. We aren't playing by the rules of the Geneva Convention or whatever. Here's something for you: Make our enemy play by the rules. We at least try to fight them outside of towns, away from innocent people. They send children, yes CHILDREN, running up to our soldiers with a bomb strapped to them and detonate it. AND WE'RE THE BAD GUYS???? Come on! We don't strap bombs to ourselves and detonate in a busy market. We don't use women and children as means to kill an American. Why should we play by the rules when they don't?

from what i understand, the democrats are holding up funding for armored carriers that military officials have said save 2/3 more soldiers in roadside bombs..supposedly they are not on board with the funding because of the presidents veto threat on the troop withdraw....the military is begging for these and the dems are just letting them die..
