You are attacking a fortified city with a population of 6,000. The city is surrounded by a large stone wall 40 meters high, the walls are defended by 500 archers and 1500 regular foot soldiers. The gates are wooden and reinforced. The city has no cavalry. The archers carry only short ranged simple bows and are well trained. The swordsmen carry only longswords with round long sheilds and are well trained.

You have 900 foot soldiers, 100 light cavalry horsemen, no siege equipment, and no artillery. Your foot soldiers carry only longswords and round long shields and are well trained, your cavalry carry only longswords and are well trained. Your men carry the knowlege of building simple siege equipment such as ladders, battering rams, and towers but nothing else. There is a nearby forest that will provide adequate building supplies.

Your goal is to capture the city. How do you proceed to doing this?

What are the chances of finding a decent to good looking girl working by my side in the military? it seems like it's mostly fugly ones that join...I'd imagine air force would have the good looking ones anybody know from experience? Ms. Arkansas this year was an officer from the air force.

The U.S. will win the war on terror. Unfortunately I think many more people are going to be killed before this happens. With the complete distaster that is Iraq and Afganistan becasue of our leaders (political & military) inability to plan for, execute and destroy the enemy at every turn. Becasue our politicions are more interested in their legacies and possible presidential races than putting forth ideas that will protect us and win the war. I am afraid it is going to take another major attack on U.S. soil and the lives of U.S. troops and civilians around the world before we decide to fight a war and not a popularity contest. What do you think?

I was wondering if the police used the same dogs, training each of them both in drug search and explosive searches. or do you need separate dogs to train them differently? can a dog perform BOTH functions, detecting both explosives and drugs or can it only perform one or the other?

We can readily see why it is a crime to yell fire in a crowded theater.

If that is true, then why isn't it a crime for a commander-in-chief to say "bring it on" while our troops are also in a theater -- a theater of war?

By saying these words, didn't George W. goad and enflame the passions of our enemies?

And by so doing, didn't he also cause a certain amount of our soldiers to die that otherwise wouldn't have if he hadn't uttered those irresponsible words?

It's dangerous enough for these men and women without their own commander-in-chief making it worse for them!!!

what is it that civilains and the media know how to run war? what is it that civilians try to control war?
why do civilains want us known as a weak populace?
why do civilains want to make Iraq another Vietnam?
why does the world seek to make war weak?
why must soldiers have to get clearence from (exageration) 5 levels of command just to eliminate 100 terrorists, when we have 100% hard evidence from predators (UAV)?
Why can't we be brutal to hasten the war?

I often heard about Russian sending their military to front line with bunches of machine guns behind them. So if anyone who is in the front line turns around, they'll get mowed down with machine gun.

I'm wondering how do they choose who go to the front line and who will manned the machine gun?

Are those who manned the machine gun lucky one or not?

Both the towers were designed to withstand multiple hits from commercial 757's...so why did WTC building 7 that wasn't even close to these two buildings blow up into a fine pile of dust?

Not even the FBI or Official Story could come up with a logical explanation to why Building 7 imploded in on itself.

LONDON (AFP) - Insurgents in Iraq will seek to kidnap Prince Harry when the army sends him there, a commander of Iraq's biggest Shiite Muslim militia, the Mahdi Army, said in remarks published Saturday.


"One of our aims is to capture Harry, we have people inside the British bases to inform us on when he will arrive," Abu Mujtaba, a commander in the southern city of Basra, told The Guardian.


"We have a special unit that would work to track him down, with informants inside the bases," according to the commander of the militia led by radical cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, quoted by the newspaper.
