Military - March 2007

I am 5'10 190 I have 7% bodyfat and a 31 inch waist. I heard that I was just barely underweight or right at the limit for marine corps height weight standards. I wanted to start lifting and running hard before I leave for bootcamp and the thing is ill prob gain more muscle and basically more weight which might put me over. will they even measure my bodyfat or do I have to stay under??

My biggest thing is cardio which might make me lose but its doubtful.

I mean by friends, someone you have had a personal relationship with, i.e. hung out with, not someone that went to your school and all you really know is their name. GWOT (Global War on Terrorism).

This war is downright racist and prejudice! I have friends who are fighting or have fought in Iraq or Afghanistan and none of them came back with injuries or brain problems... Well with the exception of my step brother who had a ball bearing rip through his leg leaving a quarter size whole, but they gave him 30,000$, $20,000 a year for a four year college, free health care, and a desk job making $13.00/hour (a lot better than his pool cleaning job).

I'm in a military family and have many military friends here at school, in my hometown, and in my summer home town... My brother is the only one injured out of all of them, and most of them signed up after 2003.

Get off the couch... All your news sources are bull crap. If you wanna really play psychologically then by definition we all have some kind of mental illness either waiting to hit us, or is effecting us without our acknowledgement.

I am 6 foot 1 and I weigh 152 is that good or what do I need to do I can run 5 miles in 30 thats about 6 mins a mile is that good or not? Ive been doing some Monkey ******* and smurf jacks, Flutter kick, Hello Dolley, leg raise, over head clappers sun gods and lunge walks and obviously crunches and pushups i dont have anywhere to do pull ups because i live in apts so i cant put a bar on my door way so can some give me the run down on all excerises and how long i should be doing each one and how often and what my target weight should be at for when i go in..............please i need help

I you run each day for maybe 15 minutes, then do moderately heavy weights and a ot of push-ups, pull ups, will you be ready within 1 1/2 months? I know they all say they build you up once you get there but being prepared would surely make it easier, we all know how hard it is to do things when your muscles are tired from the prior days workouts.

I weigh about 165-170 and am 5'11

I have 2 family member returned from, as well as my best friend. I have known what "thats like" for 3 years. 1 has a unidentified skid disease, another has Post Traumatic War Syndrome, I wouldnt be able to bear if any 1 of them had been killed, I want the truth for our "liberation" of Iraq, I am afraid the answers the public wants wont be revealed in time, if ever...God help us all!

I need help! please read this and tell me if this is likely (that this really happened to him)

my sisters boyfriend was supposed to go to basic today.. He was dropped off at a hotel the national guard had him staying at. Hes been calling my dads house from 2am to 8am. we havent heard from him in 5 hours.. were really worried... anyway, He told my dad this is what happened:
They had a curfew of 10pm. at 1am (i think) he walked outside to smoke a cigarette. the hotel person told him he had to leave for breaking curfew. He left. Now hes in Downtown Shreveport (louisiana) somewhere and were really worried. What i want to know right now is : Is it likely that hes telling the truth about being made to leave? And is it considered going 'AWAL' or whatever its called? please help

Russia has not been to friendly with us lately but this was random... Russia says if Iran doens't stop its nuclear program immediately like the UN says that they are going to cut off giving them the fuel necessary to continue with thier weapons enrichment program.

Why did this happen? Did Iran reneg on their debt to Russia? Or is Russia genuinely displeased with Iran's non-compliance? Any thoughts on this?

And please no comments like "OMG its another WMD scare" because it is recognized bythe UN as well as everywhere else that Iran is making nuclear weapons, iran has announced it, its no secret so please stop citing old news.

it is very plain to see that bush lied to everyone in this country in oder to get what he terms as a democratic justice to those living in iraq, but what about those who have lost their lives since this so-called freedom war has started? they will never see nor even know what has become of their country. don't get me wrong . i'm not on saddam's side but at lease that country did have some form of stability when he was in power, now it's in total turmoil and our brothers,sisters,uncles,sons,daughters,ect..... are constantly losing their lives, i ask you for what ? to satisfy the ego of the real tyrant in washington !!!!! is it really worth it to lose so many american lives ?
