Wow, at least the French soldiers are alive to see this pic. My buddy will never get to enjoy this pic since he died in Iraq. Not so funny actually...

I don't see anything humorous. The French are not cowards - quite the opposite as a matter of fact. Read the following and decide for yourselves: The Battle of DIENBIENPHU by Jules Roy, The Siege of Dien Bien Phu (Hell in a Very Small Place), and Street Without Joy by Bernard Fall, and DienBien Phu by Howard Simpson. Also read The War Without a Name by John Talbott. The French military performed bravely and with honor. Only a simple minded, uneducated, and unread idiot would describe the French as being cowards. I would imagine the author of this question fits the above description.

Humorous, yes. The French are lovers not fighters. They have provided the world with fine art, good food and Delicious wine. They can't be all bad. They saved our kiester in the American Revolution. Without them we might be British subjects today.

Amusing picture ...After loosing millions of men in WW1 then millions more in WW2, and Napoleonic wars and all those others in French history not to mention having their country bombed in to rubble it's pretty easy to see why they don't want to sign on for the ones we want
