I mean by friends, someone you have had a personal relationship with, i.e. hung out with, not someone that went to your school and all you really know is their name. GWOT (Global War on Terrorism).

As of last tuesday I have lost 14 friends in this war...

My husband serves as a Marine, and is going to Iraq for his 3rd tour in less then three years. There are to many others to list. My husband lost 4 of his closest buddies he's been with from boot camp up last tour, and a few more he wasnt that close with. I'm sorry for you loss, and fear that my husband and I may again feel the pain we did last deployment.

I know over 40 folks that are or have served. None have died yet. Lost 3 on 9/11 tho.

What, are you trying to have some sort of contest or something? I have lost 3, but does that make you more sad than I? Im not trying to be mean, but i just think this is a pointless question trying to prove a point that i just dont get.

Well hubby has served and so has my cousin. Friends are to numerous to count.
