i really wanna do something useful to support our troops, but i don´t know what. I´m 15 and there´s no change to get help from my parents cuz they´re against military and war and so on....
so what can i do?I feel guilty if i just sit at home and watch the news, knowing our troops are risking their lives for us. what do you think could help them? i´d do everything!

What If They Gave a War and Everyone Came

What if they gave a war and everyone came;
Every senator’s son and daughter.
Every senator too and me and you:
Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Moslem, Jew, in barter.

What if Yale and Harvard went port to starboard,
Sending every scholastic son and daughter.
And “Think Tanks” had to go, committing “who know”
To clean up after the slaughter.
Yes, there’d still be war, but we’d know what for
When we buried our brave sons and daughters.

What is the current situation reguarding the US military on St Kilda?

Bill Oddie spoke breifly about it on a recent program a number of 'masts and a power generator' the size of a large caravan' he said.

I wasn't aware that the US Military had any sort of presence there at all?

Below from Wiki:
The MoD base is part of the Hebrides missile tracking range based in Benbecula, where test firings and flights are carried out. The Ministry of Defence leases St Kilda from the National Trust for Scotland for a nominal fee.

uranium enrichment for weapons
when america did it no one stopped them even though america intended to use it against another country
the americans themselves supported terrorists like al quaeda, mujahedin, taliban and supported dictators and oppressors like saddam hussein and the shah of iran
now when iran is doing exactly what the Americans did decades ago america is threatening iran with war
im not sayin supportin terrorists is right they have attacked my country as well both the ones who used to be supported by americans and the other who were supported by arabs
but i hate when someone preaches somethin and practices somethin else and threatens other when they dont follow the preaching
and iran will never ever use WMDs against isreal its just propaganda weapon or psychological warfare they will lose everything and will be in complete isolation for such actions even from the closest of allies ie. russia india china and other arab states and they know that very well

I'm really interested in a guy who has done three tours in Iraq but I don't want to offend him if we talk about our views. I don't want to come off sounding like an a** either. Are my views going to seem offensive to him?

I support our troops unconditionally.
I support a planned, controlled withdrawal of forces (not cut and run).
I don't like Bush or Rumsfeld even a little bit.
I wish more of our forces had gone to Afghanistan originally.
I hate Sadaam Hussein but wish his execution would have been less political.
I think that in some ways we are allowing the Iraqi government to f off while our military does all the work.

Please no political arguments. Just tell me if you think any of this will offend him and why.

you cant have a democratic country in a country that has none nothing of democracy since its existance. people over there just cant do it, so why not just leave them alone and only go after al qaeda instead. arent those the ones who want to harm america. by being in iraq we make people want to kill us, if we leave we are no longer in many of the insurgents business. they no longer want to kill troops who arent there. let iraqis kill iraqis not americans.

"who are my enemies? The enemies are the ones who are after my life"

"Iraqi civilian deaths are estimated at more than 54,000 and could be much higher; some unofficial estimates range into the hundreds of thousands. The U.N. Assistance Mission for Iraq reports more than 34,000 deaths in 2006 alone."

Sheeple People who refuse to accept the fact that the Bush administration Orchestrated the Terror Attacks of 911 are just plain ignorant. It's impossible for Jet fuel or Kerosene to melt iron...LOOK AT THE PERIODIC TABLE OF ELEMENTS. Also if the floors collapsed causing a chain reaction it would have taken well over 90 seconds for the buildings to come down. They came down at free fall speed....9 seconds. There is no logical argument here. Explosives were pre-planted in the building. Case closed! Why are so many people having a hard time accepting this?

It's now well established that George W. Bush never showed up for National Guard duty for a period of approximately one year, possibly more, in 1972-1973. Despite all the talk about "honor and dignity" our President seemed to have dodged his duties and responsibilities he volunteered for with the U.S. Armed Forces.

I understand why the Irish Wolfhound can be a symbolic inspiration as a mascot to the Irish Guards - in that the Irish wolfhound is first and foremost a large hunting dog - ideal mascot for a Brigade of Infantry soldiers - which, contrary to popular belief the Irish Guards actually are. Ceremonial duties come second !

However, what symbolic reason, or inspiration does the goat provide for the Welsh Regiments?.... can't be just as a means of food - cheese... milk.... meat... - in times of desperation can it?

I know that the goat, like the likes of Cormac and Connor (who I knew, and accompanied on the daily exercise on occassions) have ranks, and can, indeed HAVE been demoted, as well as promoted.

I just wonder about the symbolic use of the goat for Welsh Regiments... after all, the leek is worn by males on St Davids Day (March 1st) and the daffodil for the ladies. I know that Lava Bread is the Welsh National dish - seaweed to you and me... but the GOAT..?

If I enlist in the army they will pay me about $20,400 a year because I have a bach. degree and will start at a E-4. Don't tell me to try for officer because they have to select you.

If I don't join the army then I'll work at McDonald's for about $12,500 a year. The benefits are a little better because of all the food and McBucks. The army gives food too but the benefits at McDonald's is better. Also I should make manager and make $20,000 in just a few years because I just started.

My question is if your in my situation what would you choose? I'm only 21 years old.
