The ETA is made up of several Basque citizens who want to have their province in Spain be liberated from the country in order to have independence and its own country. The Basque province is already called the Basque Country (Pais Basco) in Spain by many people there, but ETA members are all on the Most Wanted list, and they have been being caught by the police little by little, and they don't have a lot of manpower anymore to keep their little terrorist organization running. Jose Ramon is right. We may not see a whole lot from them in the future.

ETA is another word for terrorism. They, like all terrorist groups around the world, seem to speak for the people...ETA lost its ability to speak 40 yrs ago. What is left of them, is a bunch of downcast hardliners which are, fortunately, getting shot off one by one. The story of ETA is not complicated - a group of murderers on the loose, attacking children and women, but never fighting their true 'enemy', the authorities.
Like all terrorists, when they do that, they get blown out of the sky. So it is the defenseless civilians who pay..

I´m from spain and i can tell you tha ETA is a terrorist group that want the Basque homeland independence.

But people of this country don´t want this freedom. They want to leave in peace. Here, at Spain, we are fighting agaisnt ETA 40 years ago, and I think that we will finish with ETA soon.

I´m sorry, but my english level is so basic.

Greetings
