you cant have a democratic country in a country that has none nothing of democracy since its existance. people over there just cant do it, so why not just leave them alone and only go after al qaeda instead. arent those the ones who want to harm america. by being in iraq we make people want to kill us, if we leave we are no longer in many of the insurgents business. they no longer want to kill troops who arent there. let iraqis kill iraqis not americans.

"who are my enemies? The enemies are the ones who are after my life"

"Iraqi civilian deaths are estimated at more than 54,000 and could be much higher; some unofficial estimates range into the hundreds of thousands. The U.N. Assistance Mission for Iraq reports more than 34,000 deaths in 2006 alone."

First of all Iraqi deaths is about 655000 up to last October.I agree with you totally the USA should leave Iraq and Iraqi people can build their democratic system step by step in a way that should stop this bloodshed. Before that Iran should stop its interference in Iraq by using force not by diplomacy if the USA want to fix its mistakes in Iraq.

The original 13 American colonies had never know democracy either. Taking a chance on at least trying democracy seems to have worked out alright. The only way to know in Iraq is to get it established and see if they can make it work. The key in the middle east is that the prevailing governments in the other Arab countries don't want a true Arab democracy in the area. If it works then the peoples of other Arab countries might want it also.

Alright, so you believe that we should take the troops out of Iraq because of all the people dieing? That would be horrible. It would be like one of those home improvement shows, where the people come in and redo your house. If we were to just leave Iraq, it would be like walking into your house, telling you that we are going to redo it. We destroy it and then leave. Not exactly right. It is like holding a wolf by its ears. You don't want to hold it by it's ears, but you don't want to let it go either.

That's ok, most people in Southern Iraq voted about 5 times and there were many who came from Iran to help vote in the Shiite government.

And last time I checked the biggest numbers of dead civilians were caused by insurgents, so what's your point? Our troops aren't the ones detonating chlorine bombs in the markets. There's also a thin line between 'insurgent' and 'civilian' in that country. Go yourself and see if you can do better.

then you better tell the insurgents to stop killing civilians.
when i was there in iraq i didnt kill any civilians. My buddy who was in a different battalion didnt kill any civilians either, soo.....if we did leave it wouldnt matter because the shiites and sunnis would still continue to kill each other.
