The reasons could be many, and they can only be found inside yourself.
You know the rule "Don't drink and dial"? Well, in the future, try not to drink and type, too.

You may be mad at your brother for a couple of different reasons. One could be because he is an older brother that you always looked up to and are very close to, now you feel like he has abandoned you and you are unconciously aware that he coud end up in one of the war zones. OR...you could be mad because you are older and did not go in the military, which may not have pleased your dad, and now your brother has gone in and your dad shows favortism towards him now? I am not a psychologist, but I did join the Navy, and when I left home my little brother was so mad at me that when I graduated from boot camp and went home, he would not talk to me (at first)...Hope you get over being mad and can be proud of your brother for wanting to serve our country! It could be that you are worried about your brother's safety.
If you are too young to be in the military, yourself, you might be jealous that he could join, and you couldn't.
It could also be about your dad--that your brother is doing what he did, but that you cannot.

You answered your own question! You should stay away from the booze, or at least go easy on it!
