Since the cons are always accusing liberals of being politically correct, why is it politically correct to call the soldiers in Iraq "troops"? Aren't they soldiers? I've got friends over there, I don't refer to them as troops. What is this about?

I've seen reports and heard comments from members of Congress and the Senate that they want to scale back the authority they gave the President to use force against Iraq. I'd like to know what people think the possible benefits of this policy would be, and even though it's unconstitutional, do you think that Congress would try this anyway?

ok, here it goes, my parents are 100% against the military and i really wanna do something to supprt our troops, mom said they´ll kick me out of the house if they notice I´m in touch with my friends there again(they really will, seriously), we live in germany, they´re germans, I´m adopted and they just wanna put their wills on me. I don´t wanna deny I love america in any way but what can i do, I tried to talk to them but it doesn´t work, they say all soldiers...are murderers and criminals and so on, and they say they don´t want their "daughter" to be in touch with such bad and nasty ppl and so on, what can i do, i think i´m not strong enough to make it off, i´m only 15... I´m so desperate, plz help!

Ok my fiance is in boot camp for the Army right now and his MOS is 19 Delta which is a Calvary Scout...Well his recruter told him that he could change his MOS when he got to AIT school and now that he is at boot camp he asked his Sergent and he told him that he could not change it...the thing that worries me the most is that if he gets sent to Iraq or whatever the life span of his job is 2-5 months...what should I do? ask him to come home? join a different military branch? Does anyone else know someone that has this job? I mean he is only enlisted for 3 years but still you never know what could happen! Please help!!!
