There is the chance for Iraq to settle down but it will require all of the citizens to stop killing each other because they don't believe the same thing. The sad fact of the matter is that this is an issue that starts at the top, with their own Cabinet members, and runs all the way down to the people on the street that continue to kill each other. I have no doubt that Syria and Iran are sending insurgents to provoke the problem and make it worse, but it falls on the shoulders of the Iraqi government to get rid of its own corruption and quell the violence. At this point, and for the near future, the US withdrawal would be a disaster for all parties involved. It would mean that thousands of US soldiers died for nothing. It would undoubtedly result in the US returning in the next few years as a UN peacekeeping force to help stop the senseless killing of Sunni and Shites. Either now or later, the US is going to have to provide the manpower and resources to end the internal violence in Iraq.

Yes, we are delaying a Civil War in Iraq right now. If we, the United States, pulls out of Iraq, it will be a big relief for the troops, and save many US lives. The longer we stay in Iraq, the more soldiers we are killing. This is so becuase Iraq is going to go into Civil War reguardless of what we do. So, we should pull out to save US troops lives and Bush's approval ratings will go up (I think)

Well, the biggest percentage of the violence in Iraq is within 50 miles (or kilometers, one or the other) of Baghdad. Baghdad is the second largest city (population) in the middle east. Trying to establish some kind of control there is going to be very difficult. I am pulling for our troops though. I also support the idea of an additional 20,000 troops entering the region.

a pair of examples to disprove your undeniable fact that no lasting government has been more suitable under occupation and persevered as quickly as the occupiers left are: Germany and Japan after WWII. "Like formerly" wasn't very reliable contained concerning Iraq. those comments never say that I help the conflict in Iraq. i do no longer. no longer by means of fact i in my view care approximately Iraq or the midsection east, for that remember, yet by means of fact I care concerning the U. S.. i've got self belief contained in the recommendation that Washington gave us whilst he warned us to no longer become in contact in historical distant places conflicts.

there is no way we can win, every person we kill is spawning new extremists..children that see their families die because of this war will learn to hate America...no matter what, we are going to have to pull out or there is just no way to win...
a democratic government can never work when surrounded by dictatorships and governments that run strictly on religion....we need to get out while we still can...we've dug ourselves into a deep enough whole already, so much for "major combat operations" being over in Iraq.
some victory Bush.
