America will fight, before Iran ever gets a nuclear bomb. Irans future lies in the balance, what choice will they make? Will they force America to destroy their ability to wage war or will Iran choose peace?

The choices the Iranians make will shape an entire civilizations future. They, not us, will determine their ultimate fate. Let us hope they make a wise decision.

At the moment it would be nice if we could just be sure that the weapons and explosives that were sold to them by Ronald Reagan and G.H.W. Bush through the services of Oliver North and the late Adm. Poindexter were not being used to kill allied troops and shoot down helicopters, and improvise roadside booby-traps. But according to EOD people working in Iraq, that's exactly what is happening.

It is going to be a very hard sell to convince the world tha Iran has WMD. That's what happens when a web of lies is promulgated and prolonged by the same people now making other claims in/re immediate threats from the Near-East.

This is a serious problem that doesn't have easy answers.
Just to clarify a little with TJ's answer. Do you remember the Iran-Contra scandal. The Shah of Iran cursing America and calling us the Great Satan. They have wanted the US and Israel dead for a long time. If the truth be known they are probably harboring Osama Bin Laden as a hero. They believe that this is Gihad and some dude(the twelfth iman) is going to ascend out of a well to avenge their right to be the chosen ones to rule the earth.
If we want to bow down to them and convert we can simply do nothing, but if we want to retain our freedom we will have to fight.
How do we fight the crazed religious freaks without looking like the imperialists they say we are? We will have to have help too because there is a good chance that Syria and Hezbolah and many others will jump in. Who will stand up and join in our cause?
They say that America is being the aggressor and they just want nuclear energy to make us look bad but the truth is they feel like this is their religious duty to convert the evil of the earth to Islam. Can you say.........Holy War

Recently I read an article about the US selling F-14 parts. This is pretty funny, there are only two countries in the world that use the F-14, the US and Iran, so these parts go to some broker, get snapped by the Iranians. So who cares about lives, politics etc when there is a buck to be made.

I tend to agree with you. A radical Islamic state with nuclear capabilities is totally unacceptable to any civilized nation - and I seriously doubt if the United States will let this come to fruition.

It is indeed up to the Iranians. The United States has two battle ready aircraft carriers off their coast - they are not there for posturing - they are the ultimate answer to Iran's defiance. I doubt if the United States will even need to put any boots on the ground when the air strikes are over.

With Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the helm, and a lot of the real power in the hands of the Shiite clergy and their supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, one can only hope that they will realize the consequences of their continued efforts to stir up trouble in the free world with their demented ideology of terror and domination.

As you say in your question.....let's hope.

We Americans wont and shouldn't be the country to stop Iranian nuclear projects. If Europe doesn't care the Crazy Religious Murders calling themselves a government in Iran, have this capability then they will have to live with it or die with it as far as that goes. When they point their weapon at Israel, and they will, they will have opened a can of whop-a*s the middle east will not easily recover from.

Unfortunatly I believe that The US is arrogant enough and stupid enough to attempt a military action against Iran. I also believe that this would be the cause of a third world war.
I fully support the Anti-Nuke principles but to this day fail to understand how countries that hold them can justify telling others that they cannot have them and expect to be listened to.
The Bullying tactics of the US will not resolve this issue, just exacerbate it. When will people learn that threats of force do not create peace.

Iran has a terrorist for a president, we know this to be fact. Terrorists don't quit without being killed as we have see so many times in the past 6 years. That terrorist president is going to take the people of Iran down with him and it's a shame. I know a couple of guys from Iran and they are great guys but I don't think they'd like what that SOB is going to do to the people of Iran. They didn't like the Shaw of Iran either.

We may witness the use of another nuke in our life time.

They have gone too far for the rest of the world to tolerate, however, with their whacked leader, they haven't. He is an absolute nut-case to hate the Jews, and Americans so much. He will be the cause of many death's if he continues in his desire to murder the Jews. He may cause a 3rd World War. His government signed papers agreeing with International Law, and UN agreement that Iran should not own Nukes. He rallies his people in the hatred of Jews, who have never harmed Iran. It is Americas duty to protect Israel, which we will do. He cannot win, but he continues with his rhetoric. The leader of Iran will kill his own people, not advance his agenda.

DUDE.. America has FAILED DISMALLY in Iraq.. WHY would Iran listen to anything you have to say???

I mena if you take your blinkers off.. and EMPATHIZE for once in your life.. instead of thinking the planet revolves around USA.. you will soon relaise.. that Iran has EVERY RIGHT to make weapons.. especially since Israel and USA both have nukes.. and have both started wars in the middle east and are essentially bullys in the region.. Iran has EVERY RIGHT to protect itself.. from a bogus invasion like what happened to its neighbor Iraq..

Sorry.. but I've never known Iran ot be a threat to anyone and I just dont believe any of this rhetoric we've been hearing..

It's clear to anyone not living in Israel and USA that this is yet another attempt to propgandise an act of agression STARTED by USA.. and obviously the purpose is to maintain your own self preservation.. no other reason..

I got an idea.. why dont you just bomb every country on earth except USA and Israel.. and then the whole planet is yours.. you may as well.. coz you're not far off!!
