When I meet or see a veteran, I become very proud of them and our country. I have the utmost respect for any veteran. Being a Vet, myself, does not diminish the Pride I have in, every Veteran, that has ever served

My grandmother is a Veteran of Labor. She worked during the war years (1941-44, Great Patriotic War in Russia). I learn that I'm very blessed. She had to leave school and work. So far, I reached college without even seeing war. She lost her brother, who was a pilot. My brother is alive and well, and I thank God for that. I also learn that I may complain too much sometimes and be too discontent. I also learn that my Grandmother is a very strong woman, and I can be as well.

Well I see a veteran every time I look in the mirror.
So what i see, is someone getting older... lol
I grew up on Army post's, my dad was a 30 year CSM when he retired.
So maybe I don't look at veterans like people who aren't around the military all their life.

I saw a guy last night at the bar who just got back from Iraq. I shook his hand, said thanks, and got him a shot. It made me appreciate the fact that guys around my age (25) are willing to risk it all for our country. I am way too much of a wuss. I'll stay over here and work. Thanks.
