Yea, its easy, finish your current enlistment, then join the reserves.
You may even get a one step promotion in the process.
Reserve and National Guard units like having prior service people in them, especialy if the Reserve or National Guard unit has your active duty MOS.
Next time you are home on leave, go talk to the Reserve recruiter, he will be able to tell you what that Reserve unit might offer to get you to sign up.

Well most contracts for the most part for the military , will require you to serve time on the reserves, after your active duty time. This really depends what branch of service you are in though. But if your contract doesnt have reserve time you would need to sign a new contract to go into the reserves.

you have to complete the period of Active Duty service you signed up for when you went in. If that is for 4 years, then you have cannot go into the Reserves before those 4 years are up.
Your chances of being allowed to before that are slim, and you would have to repay all or part of any bionuses you received for going AD.

Will take Commander approval unless you have reached your DOS. Palace Chase and Palace Front are 2 USAF Programs that transfer Active to Reserve. I can't speak for the other Branches. Good luck.....

First you must full fill your active requirement.
When that is done than you can go to the reserves or the guard units that have an opening in MOS.

When you complete your active duty obligation plus any extensions, you will be put on reserve status, where you may be called up to active duty again at some time. Read the papers you signed when you enlisted.
