I am still very bitter from my Navy experiance. Moving on and getting on with my life as best as I can, but also I would like that I could save a few people the misery of the LIES the Job detailers, Recruiters proclaim as truth. I would like to see a counter to the proganda.
The liberals didn't change my attitude, it was the Government that changed my attitude.

I do. I enlisted in the Navy in 1993, and I was also lied to by the Job detailer at the Los Angeles MEPS station, who told me I could cross rate after 18 months. Which was a total lie, I was stuck in a rate I admittely told them I didn't want to be in, but when he said "everyone cross rates, don't worry" I fell for it. I would have been better off going to college and not being an Ship's Serviceman for 3 1/2 years. I
I lost my family, friends, a future because of these amoral people.

Something like 14% of American servicemen killed in the Gulf War were killed by their own side and whilst the British have killed none of their own in Iraq American troops had at one point killed more British troops than the Iraqis (or should I say insurgents?).

In the 2nd World War the allies used to say when the Germans bomb we hide, when the British bomb the Germans hide and when the Americans bomb everyone hides.

So what is wrong with the Americans? Bad soldiers, badly trained, high on drugs, stupid or is it that they just don't care who they kill as long as they get to shoot at something?

Associated Press wrote that the signs are the same before the invasion of Iraq. There has been a steady drumbeat of warnings and veiled threats from the Bush Administration. Bush has tried to make the case that Iran is sending weapons across to the insurgents in Iraq, but there is no evidence to support this, just as there was no evidence of WMD's in Iraq. Has junior never seen a war he didn't like, or is it just those he doesn't have to fight in himself?

(perferably a teenager)
I need their name and age at the time the bombs were dropped. What they knew about the bomb. What the morale was like in the USA after the bombs were dropped? Should the bomb have been used on civilians? Also anything else they could tell me about the war and life during WW2.
Web sites or if I could interview you would be great.

Follow this through. We have a history of misstating what our conflicts are. I would say that what we did in Vietnam was a war, and what we are attempting to do in Iraq is a police action. It was a war, the first time we went over there, for about 23 days it was a war, then it was about the removal of a genocidal dictator. OK, mission accomplished. But the reality is that we are using soldiers to do the jobs of police. I came to the realization that what they are fighting is a series of inner-city street gangs with explosives. They are not hugely organized or united, except in their objection to us being there. They are warring amongst themselves.

I served in the early 90's durning the Clinton term when they were focusing on miltary cut backs. I remember having to swear an Oath stating about "Serving my country" I am all for serving "OUR" country and couldn't give a rats back side about any other country and what they do, if "OUR" country was under attack at all times I was willing to put my life on the line for "OUR" country. With that thought in mind, if we were to mind our own business, stop wasting billions upon billions of dollars aiding other countries, and focused soley on "OUR" country what would the outcome be? Im sure that we have enough people with smarts, in a day of technology, in the US that can make up the things we have imported from other countries. If we built a wall all around the US and just focused on the US only, wouldn't that, reduce the price of everything, make us more "United", stop the numbers of deaths fighting a war, and make "OUR" country more at ease? Or would it make us more prown to attacks?
