We had troops placed in Europe because of the Cold War. Why are we still there, also in Japan because of the type of constitution Japan drew up after the war.

I'm sure all pilots want to fly the newest technology, but they obviously can't. So how do they decide who flies fighters, or cargo, recon etc.?

I heard recently that getting into a pilot position in the air force is quite difficult. I am currently in a program that the Air Force Auxiliary teaches called CAP (Civil Air Patrol).


Details: I'm 5'4" (still growing), 120lbs, 14years old, had childhood asthma when I was 4 but grew out of it, 20/20 vision in one eye in the other 20/30, so I guess my question is this good enough? My main concern is my eye site. What do you think? What else can I do to improve my chances of getting into the USAF?

So if you are against the war in iraq you are unpatriotic? That is what I hear from many people. It makes me think........OK If you are a parent and you love your child dearly....but he/she misbehaves, what do you do? ....See my point? I am about to join the Air Force, Is there a way i can automatically become an E3 or E4 when i join Air force?
Someone told me if i do a 6 yr contract i can become a E3 or something.. Help.. Also what is the age limit to enlist? i am 27 yrs old..

How many USMCs are actively gay & how is this contributing to the low morale in the the Service? The Army recently asked this & as a result gays were removed from Delta & The Rangers. It says that they have been redrafted to the Coast Guard.

My husband is leaving in April for an 18 month tour in Iraq. Most men come home alright, right? I don't know what the rate of injury/death is in this war but I'm freaking out wondering if he's going to lose a damn arm or not come home or what kinds of things he might have to see over there. I'm doind two reports in SS both due on the same day (Feb 20). I searched all over the web looking for Civil War Gerorgia( preferably sharpshooter) and Ohio Infantry Regment flags. I also need the name of a battle that was fought in the wodds, on a hill so I can reinact it for a video. These are both for an individual grade AND I MUST DO BOTH. If you know a site where they have pics of the flags, GREAT, I NEED THE PICS cuz I MUST make the flags or else I fail. I need these grades to bring my grade to passing and I'm giveing all my efort on this. Thanx

This 22 year old woman was here since she was 7 years old she has no legal status,has 2 kids and recently was diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer.
She entered a raffle at a spanish radio station .
The price was a 1999 Corvet donated from a famous Mexican/American singer.
The only rule was to be present at time of drawing.
Well she won the car but the radio station lawyer told her tha t if she claim her price He will call U.S. immigration and Customs Enforcement to get her deported.
The radio station is the one that organized the "famous" march of people last year.

In a separate incident this month,Toys R Us agreed to award a chinese american infant born in New York a 25,000 prize in a New Year's baby contest after the company was criticized for disqualifying the girl because her mother was (is) an illegal immigrant from china.

Do you think the radio station should give this poor woman (now she is in hiding because she is afraid), the car she won?

okay I have had enough of hearing from 2 faced politicians.

I want opinions from americans..not democrats and not republicans..americans

let me state my case and then give me your opinion.

firstly front and center is winning this war in iraq and leaving iraq right..as fast as we can do this with a victory.

since when did winning a war not mean victory front and center..seems the last time we really won a war straight up..mano ..a mano was the second world war..We accepted nothing less than total victory and it cost a hell of a lot of american and allied lives. remember there was no compromise..In germany if they got caught with a gun it was summary execution by the officer in charge. the germans adapted to this and a huge military repsence brought stability. We seems to have lowered our standars a lot havent we...now we are in a tough spot..cut and run or cowboy up and let the military do this cloves off!in other words ***** OR FIGHT..got me..lets let them get this done!

Four GI's were kidnapped and taken to a different location and execiuted by terrorists dressed as Americans even had the black Suburns like we do. When i was in the nam we would go and get some payback what do you think.
