VA Hospitals do have Veterans in them, just remember, they're in the hospital. Except Hawaii every state has at least one State Veterans Home. Try there and say hello. Put an ad in your local newspaper (personals). I did that a
few years ago and I was busy for two months. Most states
are looking for recorded interviews for their archives. Contact your state officials and ask how you can help.

What are you looking for?
If you REALLY want to hear some true things, to to the local Veterans Administration Hospital near you. There are vets there who are willing to talk with someone.
Be polite and remember they have been through a lot in their lives, pay attention and I promise you will learn 2 things.
1) War really is Hell just like the saying goes.
2) Our society doesn't honor its Warriors very much.
