Many military strategies and technologies, as well as strategies have changed since 1969. If we entered the Vietnam war today, how would it be fought differently?

Dont freak out on me here, I have nothing against soldiers following orders, Im just interested in what peoples perception on the troops are... Someone just asked are German soldiers considered bad and some people brought up nazism, do you think countries will look at american soldiers in a similar fashion because of the war in iraq? Im not comparing americans to nazis - i mean will people hold a grudge in years to come because of what america is doing now?

My boyfriend is going to boot camp in seven months. I'm still undecided to whether I still want to be with him or not. Communication is a big problem between us now and when he goes to boot camp it'll be an even greater problem. Are you allowed to write letter and recieve letters when your loved one goes away to boot camp? If you're not allowed to write there, then are you able to recieve letters every so often? Please help! I'm desperate.

give me a break and shut up ,our troops in iraq are not defending anybody they are making our security WORSE. why is it that whenever anyone criticises the soldiers the reaction is to say you are so bad but they are so good they are defending you.
why is there an assumption that no matter how bad things are in iraq somehow our troops are making it better.they are not making ANYTHING better, they are not stabilising ANYTHING or protecting ANYBODY.so if you support them WHAT are you supporting?maybee it just helps emotionally to think SOMETHING must be good? well not for me.
I dont fear iraquis and i dont believe terrorists are trying to kill me. im not just against bush im against our whole army and im not ashamed of it.its useless and its pathetic and its harmfull.

As most people can agree they are a little scared if not horrified by sharks especially due to all the past movies. My question to anyone who knows alot about the Seals training or has gone through it, are there alot if any shark attacks during the 1.5 mile open ocean swim? Are they in controlled waters?

My fiancee and I are in the AF. He's a bomber specific crew chief (his career field is frozen), but we desperately want to get closer towards the East Coast. I'm waiting to hear back on my retraining package, but I think they'll make me follow him (not vice versa) because there are only a few bases bomber crew chiefs can go to. He wants to change his career altogether though. Has anyone been through this?

In the 1980's, there was a terribly damaging compromise of sensitive U.S. missile system operational information by a junior Air Force officer who was a launch control facility commander. I think his name may have been "Cook."

Following his arrest, the public learned that he had been observed by a colleague taking photos of highly sensitive documents. When his colleague asked, "What are you doing," the stunned spy could only tell the truth. He replied, "I'm taking photos of these sensitive documents to give to my friends in the Soviet embassy." The explanation was so outrageous-sounding, the colleague never reported the odd behavior.

I don't recall this spy's motivations, but the manner in which he was caught was especially fortuitous for the U.S. After one of his visits to the Soviet embassy, as he left, his car would not start. He went back and called his family to tell them about the car. That phone call is what led to his identity and capture, as I recall.
