That would be news to me. Though I can't say it would suprize me. All I know is that the main branches will require you to go through military tribunal and fight it through the legal channels to have your re4 removed. I tried to reinlist and was told to contact JAG. Oh and Just for those who want to talk smack about the people with an RE4 code. Not all of those people were kicked out dishonorably, some recieved it with their medical discharge all the RE4 means is that you are ineligable for reenlistment to any branch of the service. or put another way we couldn't die for our country even if we wanted to. Maybe thats a good thing considering.

I support our Troops! and our Commander in Chief.(I may not like him all the time but he is my Commander in Chief and I did vote for him.)

N O, The US Army National Guard will turn down RE4s
and won't even look at them. See a US Army Recruiter and they will give you any information available on what you can do. When and if you go, be sure to take your DD214 with you.

Were you a Corpsman?
The Guard is taking a lot of appicants and depending on what the reasoning is, they are taking people back. They desperately need medics, if that's what you're looking into.

Oh, and if you are going back in as a medic, they don't recognize the corpsman, or FMF corpsman as an equal. You'll go through San Antonio for sixteen weeks of school first.

wrong, you have to submit forms to have it corrected through a board with the VA if that's what you're trying.

The ARNG will accept RE4s on a case by case basis.
