Something needs to be done to fix the mess over there, so I hope that it can help Iraq.

Why some cannot understand that the real war has not began yet. The real war will be with Iran.
Iraq was just a preparation for the big war.
40,000 troops will be needed there very soon

Only if they are given the opportunity to do what they trained for. If they continue to be held back, then no, more troops will not make a difference.

Only if they are allowed to start killing people. They should start going door to door and if they meet resistance blow the damn house down.If a neighborhood starts firing mortars we should blow up the whole neighborhood. Maybe the Iraqi citizens will start turning in the insurgents or taking them out themselves. We need to take the kid gloves off of the greatest fighting force ever to exist.

I think the idea is to do a mass sweep, a surge that would be more than they could handle and maybe get things put in perspective. I do believe such a plan could work, but the demo's don't like the idea, they want us to pull out.

maybe but the coaltion are fighting a war on a front they cant hope to win.

look at vietnam, the gureilla type warfare is a hard one to crack, let alone beat, perhaps they should try a different approach.

not sure what thay is myself but surely with all the experts they have to call on someone must have a better solution.

Iraq is mired in 7th century religious and cultural strife.

No amount of guns or bombs will change that.

Send 40,000 TEACHERS, and then maybe . . . . . .
