US talks about going after the countries that could be direct threat to us because of the nuclear weapons but has any one thought that USA might be direct threat to other countries with the great nuk plants we have right here ? And that they might just one day attack us the way we did to Iraq and Afghanistan?

i am amazed at how many people really think this. do they not realize that he started showing up in a uniform as soon they started talking of a army. most will say will it was in his speech to Congress after but they only see half the speech here it is

I beg they will accept my cordial thanks for this distinguished testimony of their approbation. But lest some unlucky event should happen, unfavorable to my reputation, I beg it may be remembered by every gentleman in the room that I this day declare with the utmost sincerity I do not think myself equal to the command I am honored with. As to pay, Sir, I beg leave to assure the Congress that as no pecuniary consideration could have tempted me to accept this arduous employment at the expense of my domestic ease and happiness, I do not wish to make any profit from it. I will keep an exact account of my expenses. Those I doubt not they will discharge, and that is all I desire."

he is protecting his honor by saying he didn't want it.

i am amazed at how many people actually think this,or he took the army out of a sense of duty. do they not know that Washington as soon as they said at congress they that they needed a commander and chief of the army.He started showing up to meetings in uniform. that right there should proves he wanted the army and why can't they see that he was a southern gentlemen and he was being modest by acting like they were twisting his arm to do it

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq Theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period. That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Logical Conclusion? The U.S. should pull out of Washington D. C. immediately!

Please, it's only a click away.
Let them die knowing that we respect everything they have done for our country.

Where I work we have adopted a unit in Iraq to write to. I really want to write something but don't know what. Any suggestions? Do they really just want to hear how thankful I am for what they are doing? I imagine there would be more it.
