It is most likely that Osama Bin Laden is hiding in a village in Northern Pakistan. Since invading Pakistan with United States forces would be considered an act of war it is unlikely that we would go there to get him. He is being protected by the local Islamic War Lords and the area is very remote and very difficult to approach without alerting a listening post along the way. Pervez Musharraf, the President of Pakistan rules a very fragile government and is unlikely to mount a major military operation to capture Osama Bin Laden since Pakistan in a Muslim State. Osama Bin Laden will probably die of old age while living in the Mountains of Northern Pakistan.

I believe that the U.S. millatary knows where Osama Binladin is, we have for a long time now. However, the process is complicated. . . We are currently in the process of containing and terminating the leader and men under Binladin. So when we do "take him out" no one can move into his place.

1. BushCo is inept and stupid.
2. Alive, he's more useful to BushCo as a fear-mongering tool. Look at ol' Saddam: he was the USA's buddy...until he out-lived his usefulness as a puppet against Iran (see 1980-88 Gulf War) and was instead needed as a scapegoat for an asinine war.
I'm sure there is a bit of truth in both, but I think #1 is a FAR bigger factor in this.

He is like a roach, runs and hides, and yes, he gets help from the locals. When someone shines a light in his direction, he scurries off to another hiding spot.
Not much of a life for someone who is suppose to be a big leader. He can send people to their deaths for Allah, but hides like a whipped puppy so he don't die. I say, lead by example, go out and blow yourself up, or stand up and fight like Saddam's boys did, and die like a man instead of whimpering and cowering like you are.

well one reason the fight against this psycho and his band of insane that believe you will go to heaven if you blow yourself up and kill innocent women and babies has been detoured to Iraq.for some reason instead of getting this coward who has his band of idiots kill for him like Charles Manson because he don't have the guts to do it himself,MR Bush decided fighting his personal war was more important.and you know what since all these innocent people are dying under his leadership, and he was a coward and dodge his own service in the military,i don't see much difference in him, Bin Laden or Manson.sorry for the long answer but this whole thing makes me sick.

Yes, what's the chance of finding someone in the mountain ranges of Afghanistan when we're not looking? We've mostly pulled out of Afghanistan(October), except for a few thousand troops under NATO control. Now if he's in Iraq, we're in luck-troop strength going up there...

Remeber that Ossama bin Laden is part of the Saudi Royal family.
Arabs are very clannish people.
They belive in "One for all and all for one."
Even though they tell us Americans that Ossama is exiled from their family, it is not true.
George Walker Bush is beholding to his business dealing with the Saudis.
He makes more money from his business interests with the Saudis than he does as president.
Therefore, I believe that Ossama bin Laden is living in the "Guest of honor" suite on the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas, enjoying the comforts afforded by the drunken Bush twins, Jenna and Barbara.
