I am in the Air Force. My job is toe load the F-15 fighter jet with bombs and missles, etc. and to do mechanical and electrical work. I might be deploying soon, too....so that's how I support them.

Also, I go to anysoldier.com and letssaythanks.com and donate things and send (FREE) cards to soldiers

With the help of some other Military Spouses, I started a program at our base where we collect items to send to our troops in care packages. We also collect phonecards to send to them, and that has really been great! We do this for sailors on regular six month deployments as well. People often forget or don't realize that those in the Navy stationed on ships are going to be deployed for six months or more, and that means they usually see more then one deployment while on the same ship. This happens during both war and peace time.
I think what matters most is just letting our Military know we welcome them home with love and that we are thankful for their service to our Country. We should remember to reach out to them all the time, not just in a time of war. Regardless of a war, we have Military stationed throughout the world, on land and ships all the time, and they always need support.

Well while my husband was deployed I always made sure I sent 3 of everything so that he could give the extras to his roommates (their families couldn't afford to send stuff too often) We also had the kids at my son's school and at my parents church send cards, thank you notes etc....with special ones being done for the injured ones and for the families of the fallen (wow those were heartbreaking!) Now I'm doing the same thing for a good friend's son and his buddies.

Supporting the movement to get them the hell out of Iraq. I don't know why we aren't out. The Republicans need to define winning. It used to be in the old days that winning a war meant you killed your enemies. I never thought the Iraq war was right but the troops did get Sadaam now the Iraqis are fighting each other so why don't we just get out. Why do we now have to build a government for Iraq if the rationale for going to war was removing Sadaam so there would be now weapons of mass destruction (which there never were in Iraq to begin with.)

Ya - it is humorous to ascertain all those "help our troops" issues on the back of peoples' autos - yet our troops were denied guns and armor and depart and rotation - or maybe as they get living house they are denied medical help and so one etc. human beings are commonly complete idiots - they only want to look as if they help troops - commonly they don't care. The conflict would not contact them - they only want their tax rebate verify.

We are sending them poems written by children.

I'd be afraid to send them cigars. I could then be sued for causing mouth and throat cancer . . . these are litigious times!

Nice of you to be thinking of our troops. It's clear that Rumsfeld never did. These guys come home and have to face divorce, unemployment, bankruptcy. We really need to do something long-term to keep their families together, to help them rebuild their lives after experiencing all that inhumanity and bestiality over there.

Take care of their families when they are away. Hopefully, this lifts any worries they have. We have something for the spouses, children, etc. In all, we do anything we can for them.
