I thought 1000's of inexperience soldiers was a bad thing? Why is everyone freaking out about it?

I heard that you could go to jail or pay some ridiculous fine, but I'm not sure, especially since that stupid politician decided it'd be cool to reinstate the draft (which is political suicide).

I was wondering what would happen if one decides to refuse the draft? And what exemptions the draft has (like being phyiscally unfit to go)? Makes me bite my nails =(

I think the military of our nation is too small and unable to mobilize in sufficient numbers to be successful in a war situation. We needed three-times the hundred-thousand troops to be successful in Iraq, but the military leaders say they would be hard pressed to get an additional 20,000 troops. I believe we need a bigger, stronger military if we want to fight terrorism. Donald Rumsfeld's inept policies have left us vulnerable. What do you think?

First off. se the box that says search questions? USE it! 4907 draft questions is enough!!!!! We Are not having a draft. Congress voted on this 2 years ago. 420-2!!!!!! Charles Rangel has got a bug up his butt about this but it not going anywhere. And has not every time hes bought it up.
2) The military does not want a draft or needs one! They have no need for the pansy assed whiners who kept asking these damn questions!
3) Your cloging the Military board with BS. Please take the politcal crap, the When are we leaving iraq, and when did the civil war start elsewhere.

Rep. Charles Rangel D-NY does he would like for our nation to consript men and women from the ages of 18-41.

pretty nice of him to try and do this , right now we have a army that is volonteer based and its working great , why is this bozo trying to further hurt our country ? he claims that our military is mostly minorities and low income people ! well its ovious the jackass dont have a clue and the people already in the service are reenlisting in record numbers ! to bad these doughbags keep mucking things up well i got news for you i for one bet it gets veto'd

I was just reading Henry Kissinger's comments and I respect his opinions. I would hate that almost 3000 soldiers have died in vain and I don't want the country to go to hell as soon as we pull out! This is not about Bush either. He may be out of office and we still be fighting over there. Now Charles Rengel is talkin about reinstating the draft. What's the answer ?!

This would include military dead from all causes (disease, accidents, et al), not just the personnel killed in action.

While the Democrates cleaned our clock guess we deserved it I guess but Right off the bat what prominent Democrate, man of color wants to "re-instate the draft." He will be in position to make that a reality, wasn't that what the republicans were accused of thinking about doing? I think all you 18 to 38 year olds should check it out, the republicians are fighting it but are a minority now and I don't know how far along it has gone just heard it. In other words your age group are having your rights hijacked and being forced to serve instead of a family, college whatever your choice etc..Since all quotas for volunteers for the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force at present and past has been met. not ONE republician ever said we need a draft Period! Now before they can heat up their chairs you hear crap like this!! Tell me what do you think? Thank You

Let's face it, more people in the military claim to be republican, so the only fair thing to do...to get equality, is to draft democrats....

Since it is Rangle's idea, and the democrats are the ones who would be inacting the draft. . .it seems the only way to address the issue.

I'm getting my doctoral physical examination and swearing in at MEPS this coming Wednesday, and was wondering if they will say I need to have surgery for circumcision.

I watched my brother go through it last year at 19 years old (I'm 17 now) and it sucked. a LOT. He couldn't move, walk, do anything comfortably for atleast three weeks.

since the u.s and russia are on terms now since the cold war is over ,though there are still a few differences between the two countires,also u.s is allowing russia to join the W.T.O .who is to blame for the poisoning of the exiled former russin k.g.b defector in london.i mean it's obvious to blame russia since he has been critical of president putin. but in principle russia is not silly to poison the guy when it's obvious the blame is going to be put on them. i mean it's like a thief stealing from his best firend and expecting that know will know it was him, or a neighbour who is well known to be a burglar to break into his next door neighbours house.since things have developed firther in the poisoning case, as an italian was the last guy to be with him when he got poisoned so WHO DO YOU THINK ACTULLY POISONED THE EXILED FORMER K,G,B OFFICER.i'll put the link up so you ppl know wots happening and wot im talking about.
