If your parents have enough influence, they can keep you off the list, or at least have you put into something called a "champaine unit" which dosent actually fight, (just like george bush!). Otherwise, you either move to canada or get ready for iraq.

Not that I'm aware of the only way you can get out of a Military Draft is a health thing, if you don't pass the physical, and I'm gonna guess since you got drafted then you passed. But I'm not familiar with any of this stuff...why not call and talk to the recruiter.

It depends. All Rush Limbaugh had to do to get out of the draft during the Viet Nam era, was get a note from his family physician for a boil on his butt. But, then again, if your family does not have political influence, you will more than likely go through the same process as every body else.

It didn't work that way for Elvis Presley. Or Joe DiMaggio. Or Ted Williams. Or Cassius Clay.
So, no.
If a draft is reinstated and you get drafted, the best thing to do would be to go and fulfill your responsibility.
I joined the Navy after high school, voluntarily. If I can do it, you can do it.

Ask the great present president? He and his family certainly had the money and the connection to prevent him from using the flying skills the military trained him for, on the other hand maybe he was just as dumb then that he was scared he would not be able to do what a military pilot needs in time or war.

Yes, indirectly by getting a deferment for many things. Like college, or faked physical disablities, or many other things that the wealthy with the knowledge can come up with.

Ask George Bush how his daddy did it. Yes many of the very rich bought their way out of the military in the Vietnam war. Poor guys went to Canada to live.

I been around a long long time and from my own exsperience I think if you have enough money you could bye a small country. so why wouldn't you be able to bye out of a stupid draft, so start saving your money!

My brother said that it is possible, but not legally. He is a Major in the military.
