The entire "purpose" of the Iraq "war" -- actually invasion -- was to make a lying, borderline moron draft dodger appear to be a "War President" for the 2004 election cycle. Iraq was a thriving nation for 6,000 years, known as the Jewel of the Middle East, had nothing to do with 9/11 and was no threat whatsoever to us, facts which even Bush now admits. Today, $350 billion and hundreds of thousands of American and Iraqi casualties later, a once great nation, Iraq, lies in ruins and the United States has lost its standing as leader of the free world. So to answer your questions, no. And of course, no.

If you look at it clearly & with the long term view the answer is, yes. The Status quo of Sanctions & no fly zones could not go on forever. They were puting as much a strain on our military as the war has. Saddam would still be a regional threat. Still be skimming Oil for Food money. Still would have Chemical Ali and his other guys working on WMD's. He would still be blowing off the UN & their inspectors. We have killed off more of the terror gene pool then if we had not done anything. The Use of force as shown both American resolve to our friends & Foes. One of the lessons of Vietnam was that we abadon our friends. Our commitment like that to NATO to 40 years, shows we will suport those government that side with us like in Iraq, Afganistan, & Pakistan. It forced Lybia to give up terror. It forced Syria to leave Lebanon. It forced Iran under the international microscope. Our losses while sad, have been small. It has been worth it. To do otherwise in such a critical region is rediculus.

I think the U.S. was right by going to war in Iraq just to remove Saddam from power, even if for no other reason. I think we must do something differently than what is being done now to get conditions the way they have to be in order for the Iraqi government to take over completely

The warfare Bush released. Now people will inform you lies, yet the following is the reality: Bush went to congress to vote, then to the UN (both licensed) and then for one very last time went decrease back to congress for approval, which replaced into closer, yet replaced into nonetheless a sure.

No! I was never for the war! As far as removing Saddam from power, this could have been done let's say, back in 1991..
Government sponsored terror along with controlled media can create double think!

No I don't think it was worth it. I'm a conservative Republican. I thought from the information given through the media there indeed were wmd's. I think our plan to "liberate" Iraq counted totally on the citizens viewing us a liberators, and never took into account that the muslim faith hated the US so much that the citizens would be told over and over in their worship services that we were invaders. There to take over the country, not to liberate and leave.

Yes I approve and I would again. We are there because these people ask our help in getting them their freedom and that's what we're (the U.S.) is all about. Our forefathers stated that if a country wants our help in this matter we would be there to help and we've done it ever since. This is not just about terrorists, it's about both.

We knew Iraq had WMDs because Bush Sr gave them to Saddam when he was at war with Iran.
Was Saddam the immediate threat he was made out to be? I'm not sure about that one.
But what we have started, we must finish.
