Are you dumb? The war isn't George Bush's fault. Any good president would have chosen to take out saddam huessien, but its what happened after that, that is why everyone is complaining.

And don't forget, that the president can't do anything unless congress approves, just in case you didn't know that....

Ain't gonna happen, and with good reason. Soldiers these days are not cannon fodder --- they are highly trained specialists in the use of advanced weapons. And you cannot recruit, let alone retain, people qualified to do this with a draft.

Blame it all on Charles Rangel...D-NY

"Rangel, a veteran of the Korean War who has unsuccessfully sponsored legislation on conscription in the past, said he will propose a measure early next year.

In 2003, he proposed a measure covering people age 18 to 26. This year, he offered a plan to mandate military service for men and women between age 18 and 42; it went nowhere in the Republican-led Congress.

Democrats will control the House and Senate come January because of their victories in the Nov. 7 election."

I think it would be a good idea. Unfortunately. it would not increase
the number of troops by more than 5 or 6 percent.

John Kerry not withstanding, most people who would get caught
in the draft lack the intelligence to be effective soldiers.

I am hope I am wrong, But I am afraid a draft is only the beginning, Both parties have said they needed more people in to do it right and quicker and is not winnable the way it is. but it will only escalate things.
